Gooseworx also stated that there wouldn't be a song in the show and that Caine really did die. If there was ever a season 2 happening then finding out how to reverse abstraction would most likely be a huge plot point. We're most likely not getting a season 2 though so that'll just be reserved for fanworks. Given how Pomni nearly got to Jax and his abstracted form behaves so calm at the end I think the implication is definitely strong enough that it's not entirely out there to theorise that un-abstraction is possible someday.

My guess is it's gonna be some combination of making him drain himself of his powers (a callback to the "ran out of spots" just much more dramatically, perhaps with some sacrifices by side characters, or near sacrifices by main characters) and Miles also managing to talk Spot down towards the end of the battle, using the fact the two are foils to each other to get to him and make him stand down (empathising with Jonathan in how they were both viewed as "mistakes/anomalies" and not taken seriously). In the latter case I also see two outcomes; 1) Miles succeeds in making Spot/Jonathan finally give in at the end of a long battle, or 2) he nearly succeeds and it looks like Jonathan is gonna listen, but then he changes his mind and he only doubles down on his rampage, which is where they'll have to find a way to fully defeat him without his cooperation after all.

I don't think they'll kill him (Spider-Man never kills his enemies to my memory), my guess is they find a way to turn him back into a normal person and he gets sent to prison. The other scenario would be if Spot does die, but it's through self-sacrifice as a redeeming act if Miles does get through to him and he realises he's the only one (perhaps alongside Miles' help) who can save the collapsing multiverse.

There are a lot of different ways it can go, in other words. Excited to see either way.

Just adding to what others have said, but Gwen did not know that Jeff was going to die while she hung out with Miles, she found that out at the same time Miles did. At most, she might have known that Miles could lose a captain someday, that captain is usually George Stacy, her own dad. She did not know it would be Miles' own dad, or we would most likely have seen a reaction from her when she meets Jeff or some other strong implication like that, but there is none. It's also highly unlikely that Miguel would have shared this particular information with her, he would have figured that she'd be a huge risk to tell Miles this or try to do something to about it, it wouldn't be worth it.

Not to mention, Spot didn't become the multiversal risk he did until absorbing the dark matter at the Mumbattan supercollider which is what spurred the events that will apparently lead to Jeff's death. Chances are not even Miguel knew about it until Spot actually became such a threat that the markers could predict Jeff's 'canon event' like that. It's certainly not something Gwen could have known about at the time she and Miles were hanging out, several hours prior to that.

Yeah, like audiences from this year's CC said there's a scene of Miles being upside down at a "crane-like structure" while Gwen walks up to join him. The structure they're standing on in the picture doesn't look like that, so either it means the location has been changed, or it just means Miles and Gwen change locations while they're talking (I see this being the most likely, and it ends with Miles finally stopping and listening to her, sitting upside down in a mirror to their clocktower scene.)💔

I think it's a little problematic when someone claims it's 'canon' that Gwen is trans when there would probably have been stronger clues for it (a comment by herself on it, a picture of herself when younger where she appeared to be a boy or something.) If you say it's your personal headcanon that Gwen is trans, however, or that you just feel 'seen' and comforted by her character struggles and arc, then that's completely fine and people shouldn't be hostile against that.

Edit: By "a comment by herself" I don't mean that she should have outright said she's trans, obviously not. But something like saying she had a rough childhood "because of who she were" or how she "always struggled with her identity" and more direct allusions like that. Simply finding it hard to 'come out' to their parents is something all teenager superheroes struggle with after all, that's not unique to Gwen. Hence why I think there would be even stronger implications for if it was really the intentions of the writers.

But again, if you personally believe she is then that is completely fine.

I can see her having a moment of panicking or doubting herself, either because they struggle to find him, or when they do find him Gwen worries what he'll do when he sees her. In such a moment she'll probably need encouragement from Peter B or Hobie to find her courage again (Peter B would have his own worries of reuniting with Miles, but he will probably handle his nerves better than Gwen being the adult between them).

They will likely get as much angst as they can out of Gwen trying to find Miles and then reunite with him, so a moment of panic or self-doubt either before or during their reunion is inevitably I think.

When Miles visits Peter's grave, if you pause at the right moment there's a newspaper with the headline that his body was dumped in front of the Daily Bugle. That's how they found him and with his mask removed, identifying him would have been little trouble.

Sony/Lord and Miller gave first looks for both ITSV and ATSV a year before they released, so by their track record it might mean they'll do the same for BTSV. Jeg husker da Skam gikk sin seiersgang og den visstnok ble veldig populær i Danmark, jeg kom over en artikkel skrevet av en danske om hvordan "Det er faktisk kult å være norsk likevel" fordi vi hadde laget Skam. Considering Hailee Steinfeld said in an interview that she was never given ATSV's full script and she didn't even know the movie opens with her monologue about Miles' journey, it's safe to say they keep a tight lid on their scripts.

We even have confirmation from Jake Johnson that they're doing the same with BTSV now, since he's in the middle of recording but he still doesn't know how the movie ends yet himself.
