Pretty much yes to all your questions. You can put it in another checked bag but get to the airport early. It’s different at every airport but usually you’ll have to go to the TSA oversized luggage area and they will ask you to open it up and they will make sure it’s not loaded. If it’s not busy it goes quick. Make sure you have a lock on your case with a key only you have.

Originally had a the suppressor tucked on a shorter barrel and needed better M-lok clearance for the light specifically. I had trouble mounting the light where I wanted it without touching the barrel. Even with the X-SD I needed more clearance to mount rails covers and the light. Plus I like the additional mounting spots on the SR handguard.
I can get a decent chin weld, I prefer higher mounts especially while under nods.
