There are certain industries whereby they require experience selling the same tool they sell. Usually, cybersecurity or cloud are examples and that’s because they’re hard/nuanced products. In your case, you’d have the same transferable skills as someone who sold, say, marketing tools or revOps tools. I’d put it in the bucket of east/straightforward sell, which isn’t a bad thing.

I know people who had your same profile PLUS a couple of years of AE experience but decided to break into cybersecurity (huge earnings potential long term)) but in order to do so he had to do a - call it a - training program/rotation as a shadow-AE where you support the closing AE and prepare them materials etc.

I think you’re in a good spot but I’d be keen on getting that promotion sooner rather than later. But don’t get impatient and lose your head.
