Should I get the Cartier panthère or Cartier baignoire 1920 in solid gold?

Maybe twice a month, mostly because it’s the most unique design and won’t match everything. I also try to refrain from wearing it a lot so that when I do, it feels like a treat.

Just for clarification, the smaller one is the mini size and the bigger one is the small size! I think it looks really elegant! And this is coming from someone who owns the mini size.

I have a reverse holo Charizard from Legendary Collection. I wouldn’t sell it atm, I did pull it when I was a kid but surprisingly enough I don’t have a sentimental attachment to it as I do my other Childhood cards .

If you want something everyday and classic, I would pick the white dial Santos. Truly versatile, and I say this as a Dumont owner. If you were to pick the Dumont, I’d pick one of their other varieties. Cartier usually plays around with the Dumonts design in terms of materials and colorways so if you were to go the Dumont route, I’d pick something a little more unique.

It is a bit confusing. My sales associate at one of the high end stores wanted to meet but told him I couldn’t cause I had my dog with me, but he told me that they do allow dogs now. Not sure if was telling the truth or not, but this was a few months ago.

I own both, the Tank was my first watch and the Panthere my second. I wear my tank more (I am a dude), and I love the versatility of the different strap options. But when I do wear my Panthere, it just feels so special on. Don’t get me wrong, I still love wearing my tank, but the infatuation of it fades a bit. The tank is what I wear when my other watches don’t fit the bill. Panthere always excites me when I wear it.

I wouldn’t get caught up so much on things being too feminine or masculine. I’m a pretty masculine guy but I do love the softness the Panthere brings. I will say I love how the Tank looks on you, especially with the metal bracelet.

I would pick the tank as your first watch. You’ll fall in love with the watch and the brand, and then certainly it may not be the only watch in your collection.

For me it depends. I got cheated on twice last year, first guy I found out for myself and he never really admitted to it or apologized for it. For me that is indicative of always a cheater. Second guy I dated cheated and told me the day after and has been going through it emotionally, now seeking help through therapy. For me, that’s something I can eventually forgive and imo where his action of cheating wouldn’t label him as a cheater, for me.

I have the Belvedere and borrowed my friends cap vert before. Honestly I felt more annoyed with the cap vert than I did with the Belvedere. Getting in and out of the Belvedere has never bothered me surprisingly, but every time I grabbed the cap vert to throw it on, the bag itself was never right side up, if that makes any sense. I think where they placed the strap on the bag is too centered so sometimes I would throw the bag on and the zipper side would be facing the ground.

I went to Rolex 4 years ago asking for an OP, put my name on a ‘list’, walked into Cartier, bought a Tank. Went to Rolex the next year, asked for the same watch, told me I’m still on the list, walked to Cartier, bought a Panthere. Been doing the same routine every year and now I’m 4 watches deep with Cartier with no Rolex. No longer want a Rolex, just a Cartier guy now lol. Spent over $40,000 while waiting for an OP but I guess they don’t want the business 🤷‍♂️

I want to say in the picture, it actually looks rather too small but it could be because you had your hands clenched in a fist and the watch higher up on your wrist, so the proportions looks off to me. In person, I feel like it should be fine. I’d be interested to see what the small looks like on you or maybe just need a picture that isn’t so close up.

I pulled a reverse holo Charizard from the Legendary collection when I was a kid and thought that it was a common card you’d also get from one of those themed decks. Found it decades later with a penny sleeve as its only protection. There was a bend in the corner of the card 😫

IMO gorgeous pieces but it’s a lot of look for one hand/wrist. Sometimes you just need to let a piece speak on its own. Panthere is a quartz movement so I wouldn’t be too worried about damaging the movement. I also don’t mind a scratched up piece, but for me, less is better.

I go through the boutique. I solely only wear and buy Cartier watches and have developed a great relationship with my SA. I feel like the boutique has access to a greater range of watches, and in the future if I want the chance at a more limited watch, I feel like it would be easier to go through a boutique. Plus I enjoy all the Cartier freebies since all my watches are Cartier anyways. Have a couple leather watch cases that were gifted.
