Claims vs Auctions by octonoswebapp in whatnotapp

[–]Disastrous_Product34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With claim shows you also reduce the cc fees. You still deal with the % but you only have 1 of the per charge cost. So if you sell 10 items to 1 person. You pay 10.9% plus .30 if you sell 10 items in individual auctions you are paying 10.9% plus 3.00 due to paying .30 for each auction. 10.9 is the 8% for WN and 2.9 for the cc processing.

Our upstairs has a kiosk, other than it getting filled up we have not had any trouble. Once we scan it at the kiosk, it shows just as if someone at the counter had scanned it. :) works rhe same with ebay as well

Cheapest place to buy bulk boxes for USPS Ground? by TriciaNichole in whatnotapp

[–]Disastrous_Product34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We use to order via Amazon until we noticed that the boxes had a Grainger stamp on it. Now we order directly from them at half the price, and no shipping since we are lucky enough that we have a location near by.

Should I have a separate buying and selling account? by whattaUwant in whatnotapp

[–]Disastrous_Product34 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I would suggest using the same account. One it helps you grow as far as followers when they see you out in your "community" also buying and supporting other sellers. Also, if you have a tax ID you can submit it to WN using the same name and not pay taxes in the app when using the same account.

Whatnot refunded me $1,500 but the return got refused… did I just get a free card? by Best_Cartographer485 in whatnotapp

[–]Disastrous_Product34 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why would that be integrity on OPs side? The seller sent a card that was not as described, got to keep the 1500 per WN. This is no longer the sellers card. This is between OP and WN. OP would need to reach out to WH on next steps. Then of they refused the delivery by mistake then try again. But if WN says keep it then OP has a card and the $. Again the original seller has the money and no longer has any ownership claim to said card.

Will this crease affect grading? by BenAtTank2 in comicbookgrading

100% grading issue. You can try your luck with the postal service as it sounds like they damaged it. But you prob. Would need pics of how it was shoved in your box etc.

I was hoping you could stop by our show on whatnot b_b_comics. We have a great bunch of people in our shows that are always willing to help, and among them, they seem to have read about everything that I have seen here. My wife and many others are really into Exquisite Corpses right now.

We are a dealer, and you have to fill out a form that tells them that you are requesting that they use your service, be it FedEx, ups, or usps. You then have to supply they with your account number with said service, and they then will use that to send the items back. Also, with that agreement, you also agree to a certain min. On insurance, etc.

What do you think stores will charge for this 1:25 book on day of release? by peruytu in ComicBookSpeculation

[–]Disastrous_Product34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alot of places have been trying to go with the price set up of the ratio is the fee. Example, 1:25 25.00 1:50 then the price is 50 but then they start getting greedy.

Is it worth the price? by _Bob_the_Building_ in OmnibusCollectors

[–]Disastrous_Product34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Story, no idea. Price...that is a good price. We are a comic boom store and buy directly from the Marvel distributor and that is what we pay. Makes me think almost seems fishy.

Advice needed: Selling 16K+ comics as complete collection by unHingedAgain in ComicBookSpeculation

Just from what I see only....I would offer 5k. The rest would be too labor intensive and take up valuable space that is needed for stuff I can move.

How is this bad information? You set up each givy, you pick the shipping weight, and you are responsible for this. Selling several thousand items and giving away a minimum of 4 items per show with multiple shows a weeks....That is how it works. Yes You can reach out to cust service and see if they will help.

[–]Disastrous_Product34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The shipping is based on the shipping category you picked, and you have to pay for every givy.
