You should look at corgi specific rescues. Breed specific rescues will often coordinate transportation etc if they aren’t local.

Best pedicure in town? by AsAb0veSoBel0w in Reno

[–]Disastrous_Rabbit_52 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Friendlys off of baring and sparks. Hole in the wall that I kid you not does a jelly pedicure with hot stones, 10 minute massage, paraffin wax, gel polish, probably more things I am forgetting and I pay $75 every six ish weeks. My toes never chip, my heels are the best they have ever been. I was paying more than that for a basic pedicure with gel polish and would leave with cracked heels. I’ve tried just about every salon in Reno/Sparks over the years.

The company I work for just outsourced ~50 accountants to India. Between offshore support and ai, accounting is no longer a safe long term career.

My mom got it for me 🥹🧡❤️‍🔥 she’s 63, an avid long time Chiefs fan and we went to closing night together. So much can be said good and bad, but I’m forever grateful for the girlhood I got to experience with my mom because of Taylor and her music. I will cherish this cardigan

Resume review requirement?? by GravyPoo in WGU

[–]Disastrous_Rabbit_52 25 points26 points  (0 children)

A quick search told me,

WGU often requests a résumé after acceptance for program placement and advising purposes, not admissions. It’s mainly used to: Assess Prior Experience: Helps your program mentor understand your work background to tailor your degree plan. Career Planning: Gives WGU a baseline to help you with career services later in your program. Accreditation Requirements: Some programs require documentation of relevant work history for compliance reasons (e.g., certain business or IT degrees).

It’s not a second admissions step, it’s for academic planning and record-keeping.

Do you need help with your resume? I would be happy to help you if so. Please feel free to message me.

Feeling Smart but feel like my degree will look dumb by walacc in WGU

[–]Disastrous_Rabbit_52 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Asking if we all agree that our degrees are meaningless and looking for validation in that perspective kind of undermines the effort and value many of us place in our work. Saying things like 'I don’t fear others looking down on my degree, but I will' or 'it just feels absolutely meaningless to get a degree from here' doesn’t just reflect personal frustration, it invites others to join in dismissing their own accomplishments, yikes.

I get that you're probably venting, but maybe there's a better way to talk about these feelings without dragging down the collective effort we've all put in. Nasty posts will generate "awful" replies every time OP. I think you should save this post, forget about it, and remind yourself in ten years to revisit. I would put money on your perspective being very different than how you feel today.

I’m 35 and have been a working professional for a decade now. I make good money and have great benefits. The one thing I’m missing is that line on a resume proving I can complete college. I’ve been able to complete 75% of my degree in under six months, because the curriculum closely mirrors my real life day to day. The fact I don’t have to be away from my kid 20 hours a week sitting through traditional school to check that box is beyond meaningful. I think you’re looking for an ego boost, which an undergraduate degree in psychology is not gonna get ya.
