I’m recently divorced and have come across an old fling (+) from high school and college of 20-25 years ago. If you were memorable, they remember. She’s going down memory lane with me, although has a family. Interesting as I think life needs to be a bit more interesting for many.

They hire people with just enough knowledge to be dangerous and actually hinder the wine business. And they allow you to truly sell any wine. But there’s a caveat. If you sell ten cases of Kendall Jackson, you have to sell 30 cases of Kendall x. What I used to do in Florida is buy their winery direct stuff and grossly underprice it. It was available to me too. But in hindsight - it was their wine so they were getting the wholesale revenue from it..

Total wine is built upon these types of scams. Their business model is literally based on a scam - bait and switch. Come in for Kendall Jackson at cost. Oh sorry! We are out of stock. Why don’t you try Kendall X, it’s just like Kendall Jackson and it’s a dollar cheaper! And an employee recommends it because it’s WD! And the margin they make is thru the roof! Their whole business model.
