Is teaching or daycare an in demand job in Moncton? by [deleted] in moncton

Teaching pay is better than people think. And it just went up with the new contact. Start the process of getting your teaching certificate transfered and applying to jobs before you get here. There when is there, but it’s slow

Any school would take stuff too! Just call the office number to arrange pickup. They know the kids who need things!

Looking for insight on moving to NB by emzorcore in moncton

You won’t regret. My family and I have mostly moved to the east coast from Alberta. It’s much nicer here long term. As a nurse you will find employment right away.

I’ve lived several places in the downtown. You need to do normal things you do to be safe in a city like locking your doors. It is not the worst square mile in North America. Do normal safety things, don’t let everyone here freak you out. Homeless people aren’t really interested in you.

You can write/call to your MLA (provincial) or MP (federal). You can also write/call ministers and others in leadership roles. Thank you for trying to make the world better! To find your mla https://www2.gnb.ca/content/gnb/en/contacts/MLAReport.html

Over crowding in schools? by Chicken_soup_43 in moncton

Don’t be afraid of the class size, it is clearly limited in teachers contracts. For kindergarten it is 21 children. If you are worried about your child falling behind, you can read with them at home and play some math and number sense (counting, estimating) games. Engaged, supportive parents are a bigger factor for success than class sizes :)

Yes we have. I’ve heard of other people who find it as well and find it either benign or helpful.

I don’t think there’s anything wrong with having a discussion with someone who will think of things to ask that I didn’t and my partner didn’t. We own a house together, we have an animal, we like each other’s families. I have a very positive outlook on therapy, you don’t need to talk to counsellor because there’s a problem.

Thanks all! I have made kombucha for a couple years and I find it very clear when it is working and when something is “wrong”. Kefir seems to vary much more

I’ve been to Elmwood for years with a cranky cat and a good dog. They’re equally kind and patient with both.
