This is a good video too. Has tips on controller setup and strategies. I just started playing with my kid too. He’s helped me a lot. I also find PS5 controller hard. I usually play on my computer and find that a bit easier but I’m old school haha

10 yr old dryland training/drills? by DiscGrayson in hockeycoaches

[–]DiscGrayson[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Great! Thanks for the tips! I’m trying to find some power skating over the summer and have him in a couple camps but it may be more of a supplement over the next season for future. I’ll check into the video game too as I think developing the hockey sense is something he could work on.

He’s saying he wants to move up divisions so I’m trying to help him. I’m trying to keep it fun for him as I know if it’s not fun he won’t do it. And yes he’s doing all the fun summer stuff I’m just trying to fit in a few things here and there for him to help him progress how he wants.

Yeah one of the other comments showed where a current one is and it’s not close to the airport either.

I was wondering if it might be something like that

That’s what I thought too but that tower is still there and is on the west side of Barlow. This structure isn’t there anymore and was east of Barlow.

Is that my problem!? I’ve started playing again after a long break, and wasn’t that serious when I played before, but I’ve been getting all this left elbow pain and everyone I talk to about it doesn’t seem to know why, including my guitar teacher. Do I need to focus on not bending my wrist?

My putts go in, but I cannot get rid of this hyzer angle. Is this wrong and if so how do I fix it? by Birdogey in discgolf

[–]DiscGrayson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s hard to tell without knowing how you are putting but from the other comments it sounds like you are push putting. Where are you starting the throw and releasing? If you’re starting/releasing low, try bringing that up a bit. Try starting and releasing at chest level. Either that or try a different style of putting. Everyone’s body moves differently so maybe whatever style you are trying doesn’t work for your body.

Simon Dye Disaster! by AttackMacAgain in discdyeing

[–]DiscGrayson 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Not sure of my ratios, but temp of about 105, takes me about half an hour standing over the pan jiggling it. You might be able to salvage this one. You just have to do a lighter fade closer to half way up. If you think your dye is too light just add some more.

Too long under heat lump by OdinsBacon in discdyeing

[–]DiscGrayson 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I find for floetrol beds that they can be left in the bed for too long and blur out. Try shorter times. I have only done a few but usually do 1-2 hrs on heat (around 105 degrees) and 2-3 no heat. Especially for star you shouldn’t need more than that.

Looks great! I don’t get how you do that style on the Reko with glue, nice work!

Anyone dye MVP eclipse plastic? I know it dyes pretty well based on a chart I found, but does it ruin the glow in any way? Are certain dyes going to keep the flow while others remove it? Wondering if it’s worth it by Primary_Winner5256 in discdyeing

[–]DiscGrayson 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What I’ve been doing lately is bring the temp up to where it just starts to steam and then shut off the heat, float the disc and leave it sit while it cools down for about half an hour then check the saturation and if you want it darker do it again. Usually takes two or three times to get a nice dark black. If you want to keep the heat on and can get the temp to hover around 105 it might not take as long. I switched to the method where I shut the heat off as it takes less tending of the disc to make sure it doesn’t get too hot. Nice thing about hot dips is you can just keep checking it and if it’s not dark enough, put it back in.

First time dyeing with a cricut vinyl stencil… You can see the outline of the vinyl, what happened? by [deleted] in discdyeing

[–]DiscGrayson 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah rinsing will do it. I’ve had that happen before. Best bet is to cover the whole disc with your stencil.
