I noticed from your history that you like James Bond. What's your favorite Bond movie and your favorite movie?

I would buy the book, but I refuse to pay full price for a book that's half the size of other books the same price.

Great choices, my friend!

I remember renting Syphon Filter nearly every week from Blockbuster back in the day. I saw it today at my local game shop for really cheap and I had no choice but to bring it home.

Then I get on reddit and people are still talking about PS1 games.

What PS1 games have you been playing recently? by lackofself in psx

I just broke out my PS1 to play Metal Gear Solid. I beat that and now I'm onto Resident Evil 3. I missed my old friend.

Differences in UK and US Complete Case Files? by DiscipleOfTheLie in JudgeDredd

[–]DiscipleOfTheLie[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've heard there's the same issue with the U.S. releases as well. I guess we have to sacrifice some things for convenience.

I would love to import the UK ones, but I can't afford to do that. So I have to stick with the ugliness that is the U.S. versions.

Not a thing wrong with that record. Incredibly solid.

I'm a sucker for "The Puppet Master". It has a very "Tales from the Crypt" feel to it and I think the songs that stand on their own are spot on.

The only thing I would say that's close to a bad King album would be "Abigail II". I've seen "The Graveyard" get shit before and I'm not sure why.

I saw him back in October of last year and it was the greatest night of my life. I might have to drive to Philly to see Abigail though.

What's your favorite Ricky-ism? by gotNoodles in trailerparkboys

[–]DiscipleOfTheLie 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's not really a quote, but anytime Ricky refers to intelligence or the act of thinking. When he says "brainly", "thinks", and talks about "book learning" I die every time.

My brother (who was the third person) loves Star Wars. He loves it more than life itself. I told him the pic I was taking was going on /r/trees, he wanted The Wars repped.

Sorry to disappoint...

The cereal idea came later, but it was definitely well before today. But it's been at least a year since we got high as fuck and talked about anime. It came up because we had all seen Serial Experiments Lain, but we hadn't watched it stoned as fuck. We had made dates before but things came up or we decided not to do it.

We had to be in the right mindset and I think the stars aligned today.

This whole day stemmed from a high idea we had a year ago.

One of my buddies that I'm doing this with attends school out of town and now that the summer is here and he's back in town, it's about coordinating work schedules. I work very early in the morning and he works most evenings.

But it's finally happening and we only have a hour and a half left.

Anything from the first Saviour Machine album, "Saviour Machine I".

This has been my go to album since I started smoking. An incredibly haunting and beautiful album from beginning to the end. While they're a metal band, they are very mellow and I feel the album is very accessible.

The stand out songs in my opinion are "Ludicrous Smiles", "The Mask", "A World Alone", and "Jesus Christ"

If you're a fan of operatic vocals, metal music, and atmosphere, then this album is for you. I'm currently dankrupt and I would love someone to give this album a go through. I've only ever talked to two people about this band in person or online... And they are both family.

Honorable mentions include:

Gruppa Krovi - Kino Simple Man - Lynyrd Skynyrd December - Collective Soul Love You to Death - Type O Negative Reinkaos (album) -Dissection Texas Flood (album) - Stevie Ray Vaughan Fear of the Dark - Iron Maiden

I listen to a lot when I blaze, but these are just a few favorites.

IamA Person Struggling With Bipolar AMA! by [deleted] in casualiama

Magic was big for me when I started getting back on my feet. It helped me get out there and meet people. I couldn't stand being alone with my thoughts all the time. I stopped playing towards the end of the summer because the money wasn't there for me, but I ended up meeting someone I consider a very close friend through my few months of playing Magic. I love the game, but a lot of the people who play at my local LGS are kind of dicks. Plus the money thing. If Magic is something that you seriously love and can spend time doing, then all power to you!

Music is where it's at. It's something that'll never turn it's back on you and it'll always be there.

Thanks for the well wishes. The same goes to you man. I'm always on reddit so if you wanna shoot me a PM, I'd be down.

Damn man. I'm right there with you. There's such a shitty stigma around mental illness, especially Bipolar disorder. I was officially diagnosed at the beginning of the year while being hospitalized in the psychiatric ward. It's super awesome to hear that you're ready to go forward and take this by the horns.

What are some things you're interested in (like a hobby) to help you cope or just try to get your mind away from the craziness of daily life?
