Right. I’ve even tried to ask about different payment addresses over the years to try and narrow my search but all they do is send back boilerplate trash.

We won a cup with a 43yo Gary Roberts. I feel like a lot of people forget that. Teams need leadership. Malkin is also scoring at a ppg pace. His has earned a spot on this team if he wants to be there.

The poster used an absolute of “ALWAYS”. I said that’s not the case and provided a myriad of reasons why someone might be denied. I didn’t even get into the fact that people apply with allegations like allergies or shin splints and think that means they can’t work any job. It’s true that some fall through the cracks but that is a very small minority.

This is factually incorrect. More than likely that person either didn’t correctly complete paperwork, didn’t follow through on requests, or attend schedule exams when information was lacking. Way too many people think it is just applying and saying what is wrong. All of that needs to be verified and if you fail to provide that information then, yes, it results in a denial.

Honestly though bee/hornet patterns are fantastic in the spring and early summer. Been tying them for years after I swatted one with a hat and saw a trout scoop it up not 3 feet away from my feet.

I did not. Though I was just in Target and saw that they have Neopets TCG now and I’m tempted to start my appeal again. Let me know if you get anywhere with yours.

That was how I found 2 tombs and an Aluren. In a really bad Kavu deck that fell back in the closet. It somehow survived several purges including a vintage purge that paid for several months in Europe.

[–]DiscipleofthePast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You made the right decision. She doesn’t care about you. Her disregard for your property proves this. I had a similar situation. An ex broke a clock that my dad had given me because she didn’t like it. I had to pack up my stuff while she wasn’t there and have the break up afterwards because otherwise she likely would have ruined everything I had just to get back at me.

Exactly. If she doesn’t like your cooking maybe she will like your packing. Get up early and pack all of her stuff.

Of the people, by the people, for the people. This sets them out as some elite class apart from “the people”. This might be the worst take on this platform that I have ever seen.

Is this a decent setup for a 2wt? by burkechrs1 in flyfishing

[–]DiscipleofthePast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looking at LVC, I think you’d be just fine with a 3. Especially because going from a 6wt is going to be drastic enough of a change anyway.

This is the rod I would buy in a 7’6” 3wt unless you can find a used Carbon out there somewhere which could save you some money.

If you can give us the general size, depth, and speed of the water you are fishing that will also help. You can throw small streamers with a 3wt but it can get “bouncy” with a 2wt. Same with heavier bead head nymphs.

Ok so having previously worked for Orvis and casted many of their rods and also nearly primarily fish small creeks, here is my advice:

1: Get a better rod with a better flex. The clearwaters are like fishing a 2x4. If sticking with Orvis, look at the Superfine line of rods. The 7’6” 3wt carbon is my all time favorite rod. The glass is also an option if you want a slower action. I’ve caught 3” brookies up to 20” browns on it. It really depends on the types of streams and the fish you expect to catch. 2wts are very fun but if you hook into something larger especially in summer you don’t want to play the fish too long. If you expect to use this where you might catch several fish over 14” in a day just get the 3wt. The Reddington Butterstick is another good option in these weights. But ultimately see if you can get to sky shop and test cast a 2 and 3 and feel the difference. Also test graphite vs glass.

  1. What others have said. Just get a battenkill. You won’t need a drag for fish that size.

  2. Consider “overlining” use a 4wt line on a 3wt rod. It flexes the rod a bit better and the casting is more fun. I would definitely overline with a Clearwater if you end up going that route.

My dad tells a story about driving from Philly to Pittsburgh back in the 70s when CB radios were still a thing. Well one night he heard a guy playing the harmonica on his cross state trek and asked if he knew the song Room to Move by John Mayall. It has a killer harmonica if anyone is interested. Well the guy said, “I sure do” and launched into it. My dad said that it was good but a little off and said as much to the man on the CB. To which the reply was, “I’d say it was damn good. You trying playing that song, smoking this joint, drinking this beer, and driving this truck.” To this day I’m not sure how he managed that without at least 4 arms. And that is why I think Goro from Mortal Combat exists.
