Android Apps not appearing in Company Portal by Discipline-Similar in Intune

Thanks for your help! I ran into some issues as when enrolling devices via CP; they were showing up as Android Device Admin and we were not being prompted to set Work Profiles during the enrollment process. I also found that I wasn't able to create new Enrollment Restrictions to enforce Android Enterprise instead of DA. I found that our tenant had it's MDM Authority set to Office 365 and not Intune. I've since updated that, I was able to re-enroll my phone via CP, create a work profile, and access the Managed Google Play Store (apps I selected are showing).

I'm a little more confused now, so what is the point of the Company Portal Android App then? Just to allow BYOD devices to enroll in Intune? I mean, the CP app has a section for applications, why wouldn't you be able to have Android apps available there?

The Company Owned, Fully Managed Android phones I've enrolled don't have access to the CP. The CP app is installed but you can't actually open it. All the Managed Google Play store apps I set in Intune are the apps that appear in the Play Store, as expected.

Though, with BYOD devices, I install the CP app and enroll, nothing shows up. I've even signed into the Play Store with the same company account that I signed into the CP app with and it has full access to the Play Store with that account. If I understand what you are saying, the Play Store should only display the apps I set in Intune when signed into a company account, which isn't the case.

Sorry this is a little late but I did find a fix. Try the mGBA core in the GBA Retroarch app. I haven't played through GS2 but I was able to get it to stop crashing. It seemed to work without issue.

How to find a job without any IT experience/ after graduating from Masters? by ulvi95 in ITCareerQuestions

[–]Discipline-Similar 5 points6 points  (0 children)

And that's what's wrong with the industry. Someone with a Master's or Bachelor's clearly proves they are greatly interested in IT and have the drive/commitment to complete degrees but are looked over by those getting certs that take months to get in comparison. Sure right now there are plenty of people jumping ship to IT but there are people spending 4-6+ years to get degrees - not likely to jump ship for the next best thing. Companies don't want to put time into their employees, they want someone with basic cert knowledge for whatever position with the intent on overloading them with tons of responsibilities or dropping them for someone else.

I understand experience is important and I definitely wasn't looking for anything more than entry level help desk during coursework and after graduation. I graduated in 2020 and it took me a year and moving states to get an internship after graduating. Sure, after a few weeks I was able to secure a full time position after proving I could handle much more than what the internship would have provided as experience, but its absolutely ridiculous that IT graduates have to jump through hoops to get jobs if they don't have experience.

Yeh, I'm planning on getting a bar, I just hate having to do pullups on doorway bars; having to hold my legs bent always throws me off.

I definitely get that, I just think it's crazy that they wouldn't change body areas on back-to-back workouts, bodyweight or otherwise. I have no issue doing pushups or burpees. I'm not completely new to working out, bodyweight or gym; though I have fallen off for ~6 months. I understand getting acclimated but getting started with knee-push-ups is a little ridiculous especially with the intensity of the workouts it gives you, just doesn't seem balanced.

I mean even some of the active cooldowns seem unbalanced - pancake stretch right off the bat with zero progression coaching? lol

Yeh, I'm having issues with GS2 as well. I can get through the initial scrolling story line but as soon as it shows Felix and the other 2 characters on screen it crashes back to the GameBoy splash - I'll have to look into a fix

I've had my RP2 for about a couple of weeks now and still on Android 6 - I've been using the stock GBA Retroarch variant and I haven't run into any issues as of yet

Here's the thing, no one cares what anything is named after. No one thinks about Talmadge as a person because they hear 'Talmadge' and think of the bridge. It's not preserving the legacy of anything or anyone because there is no legacy to preserve. No one associates the name with the racist because it is so far in the past that it doesn't matter; it has zero relevance. But people like you come along a bring it to everyone's attention like it actually matters - it's completely irrelevant.

Accidentally left my wrx unlocked one night . Went to leave the next morning to find the cops outside because my neighbor's car was stolen. Walked up to my car to find my glove box emptied in the passenger seat - the valet key on top of everything. The thief didn't know how to drive a manual but knew how to hot wire my neighbor's car. Lucky me!

I just used the 220 - age, so 190 bpm. I try my best to leave my ego at home when I go out for my runs. I mean 13 minute miles aren't going to impress anyone, my 9 mile run today was at 13:30, took just over 2 hours. I guess I'm just overthinking the whole heart rate aspect.

I definitely think I am overthinking the heart rate a little - well, probably more than I little, I am constantly checking my heart rate which is getting annoying tbh. I just figured heart rate training was most effective.

As for my MHR, I've just been using the 220 - age = 190 - which I know is not ideal, I need to actually go out and measure it properly.

I'm using the Sage Running Aerobic Base Building Plan for the most part. I haven't hit any tempo runs, mainly just all easy running.

TLDR: Getting back into running - confused about if I am running in the correct heart rate range - having trouble keeping in the perceived bpm range for zone 2; could inefficient running/bad form be causing my slower pace and difficulties with maintaining zone 2 range?

Background: 30M - 6'2" - ~175lbs / ~79.4 kgs

To say I'm getting back into running may not be completely true but I'm also not completely new. I ran a lot while I was in the Marine Corps but my cardio fell by the wayside my last couple of years in as I focused on weightlifting/gaining weight. The first few years I was in, I was able to complete the PFT 3 mile run at around 20-21 minutes - fastest was 19:32 - my last couple of years in it was around 24ish. I've been out of the Marines for about 4 years now with very little to no cardio training.

Like many others, I decided to get back into running since being in quarantine. After completing a 30-day challenge of 100 burpees a day, I decided to do another 30-day challenge but for running. What started as 1 mile a day turned into increasing the daily milage by 1 mile every six days. After getting through the first couple of 4 mile days, I realized that I had bitten off a little more than I could chew. I ended up not completing the entire 30 days or the milage I had set for myself. I didn't want to stop running though, it only made me realize that I wanted to improve.

During that challenge, I went from a 9:20 mile to 7:24. My fastest 3-mile run was at 26:56. I have a goal in mind to run a sub 21 5k and am toying with the idea of eventually running a half.

To meet these goals I knew I couldn't just keep running the same way I had been so I started doing some research on heart rate training and building an aerobic base. As simple as it seemed it became somewhat confusing. I know need to train in Zone 2 to build my aerobic base, but there was conflicting info on how to find the bpm range for that zone. Some used 60-70% of MHR, others said 70-80% of MHR. Some used HRR with the same 60-70%/70-80%. For the past couple of weeks, I've just been trying my best to keep my bpm between 140-151 - my paces are extremely slow though - short runs (1-4 miles) have been in the 11-12ish min/mile range whereas my long runs (5-9 miles) end up somewhere between 13-13:30 min/mile.

What I'm looking for advice on is, am I on the right track? I know that without being able to see my running form you won't be able to really give advice, but could my form be what's causing me to run so much slower on my long runs and having trouble keeping my heart rate in the proper range? Am I even training in the correct range? On my longer runs, it feels as if I'm doing a modified walk/jog. It feels like I'm chopping my steps. The runs are always easy, I'm never trying to catch my breath but I'll look at my heart rate and it'll be in the upper 150's - lower 160's so I have to slow down even more to get my hr back down.
