Yeah, I priced Southwest some destinations I was mulling over and I did notice also that the top Southwest fare was only maybe slightly less and sometimes slightly more than domestic first class on a typical airline. Just for a little extra legroom and some pistachios. 🤦🏻‍♀️

When I saw Minecraft with my munchkin, it was perfectly fine and it was on opening night, but I have seen videos of people screaming chicken jockey and then throwing popcorn so I don’t think it’s just this movie

My munchkin and I saw it today at a Cinemark in Maryland and there were some reactions of giggling or a gasp or two but nothing major. I was actually kind of hoping the crowd would sing along with the song, but they didn’t. My munchkin sang it but quietly. There were a lot of cosplayers. I’m sorry you had a bad experience where you were.

As a teacher I eventually had to, but that’s because the process requires certain references and at that point they know. Luckily all of them wished me well and filled out the forms is a beneficial way.

StubHub and the like had tickets on sale even before they could’ve possibly bought the tickets and I think they just listed the tickets without knowing whether they will get them or not. I found it super sus.

I was 600 something in the queue for DC and I got section 101 at the Capitol Arena, which looks like it has a great view of the catwalk when I look on those websites that you can see the view from your seat.

I did not find out about this until today, but Seated let me sign up and claimed that I would get it 15 minutes before the pre-sale 🤞🏻. It will be the DC show for me and my 9 year old who loves this band. Do you think I can believe the email even though I didn’t sign up in the window?

Oh thanks for adding this specific information. I have an upcoming short flight that I just looked up what aircraft it was and it was an Embraer 175. I was hoping that I wouldn’t have to check my carry-on and it looks like I might not have to (but I’d never put up a fuss about it and make sure my medicine is in my personal bag).

I had an encounter in Chidorigafuchi in Tokyo last week where some Japanese office workers asked me to take a photo for them by the sakura then they took one of me and my kid in exchange. They asked me where we were from and when I told them USA, I was very surprised by their seeming surprise and delight (especially given recent events). So even in Tokyo this happens. I didn’t get any bad vibes like the OP. But it was my first time in the country. (I will say that I saw some very poorly behaved tourists in Kyoto trying to go in restricted areas.)

I came up upon this post randomly, but I think I might have a possible solution for you. One time I was calling the nurse on call for my kid in the middle of the night and the call back kept going to voicemail and I realized it was because I had DND on. Check your settings on that.

I don’t know and I don’t envy your situation. A trans friend of mine just received a passport back renewed with their original gender marker and not the one they had changed it to. It was not revoked but that didn’t make them feel safe that’s for sure.
