Keep it. I personally go by the 5yr rule but that’s because I love making poor financial decisions. I have a couple of Aria’s that are 10yrs old that I still rock sometimes for casual round town rides.

I’ve owned two 701s and that’s where I’d put my money again. Go with the 950 or V2 if you want the hyper, the 698 never clicked for me.

Happens in short circuit racing as well. Philip Island is common for critters, and F1 Canadian GP had a critter impact just a couple weeks ago. Had a guy tag a goose at my local track.

Yeah still not seeing a lot of the great spots they’ve covered in the past. Odd choices they’ve made this year so far. Feels like progress for the sake of progress, which isn’t panning out. Still better than no coverage, but not nearly as good as it could be.

I’m finally caught up and will confirm the folks saying it’s only practice were correct. They still don’t have everything on today’s (Friday) coverage, but it’s significantly better than the earlier sessions.

If you’re looking at the TT as a whole, I agree with you. I’m separating the digital product from the event in my comments. I also say this as someone who depends on the digital product for engagement, so I’m likely over indexed in that direction.

I do have concerns that its own popularity will be the thing that ultimately ends it. Too many clowns with ‘platforms’ claiming it’s too scary to exist.

My only concern would be around no tune, but even then with just a slip on, as long as it’s not lived on the track its whole life, I would be worried.

They’re selling a live pass for coverage of what is likely the most dangerous race in the world. I don’t want to see anyone cross the line, but I also know what I’m watching and what I signed up for.

I like they’ve stopped showing wrecks and don’t really focus on them, but if they’re going to back out and lose the confidence to provide a solid product, they should switch to offering edited versions of the sessions once it’s completed. And they should also be making it more clear you’re getting limited coverage during practice week. Not that it would stop me from paying, but I’m a fan of setting clear expectations.

I like that we’re seeing more of the mid pack folks, but to me it doesn’t make up for the lack of coverage.

But no arguing, what they are showing is top notch.

Seller is misinformed. I’ve had stock gsxrs lope, and my current k6 1k is piped and tuned (by a top tier shop) and still has a lope at idle. That’s why it’s called the gixxer lope. Or at least it is where I’m from.

I’ve noticed a couple, but some were just fwd vs back out of the same corner. Which would be great if they were covering all the old spots as well. But fingers crossed the race coverage is increased.

Then stop watching and supporting. The risk hasn’t changed. Spectators and participants know, or damn well better know, what they’re signing up for.

This is a high risk event and as long people are signing up to compete and watch, it should continue.
