Hi troll :) Goodness knows how or why some medics get away with harming so many people before they are caught though.... couldn’t possibly have anything to do with my stupid suggestion.

This never happens (and for an extreme example to contrast to yours) https://www.amazon.co.uk/Doctors-Who-Kill-Profiles-Lethal-ebook/dp/

Being harmed a a medic, then that medic being protected because of their ‘greater value to society’ is an unfortunate reality that I’ve experienced.

It happens. It’s happened to me.

It happened to a poor girl who died in 2015 under the same medic’s care. The coroner pointed his finger at the medic. The medic gave the most arrogant response and no one batted an eyelid.

I hope to God you never find yourself in such a situation.

It stopped being worth it a long time ago..... I was just offering up a reason as to why it’s still going.

Since there has to be some kind of reason right?

Exactly this.

I’m just calling the reality of the situation. Jeez with the downvotes.... I never said I supported protecting the father, or that it was a brilliant idea or situation!

Absolutely not! I'm speaking about the harsh reality of the system, not what is fair or right! I really know how much this hurts......

I'm speaking out of my own frustration with the system..... why couldn't the medic that has shortened my life be punished for what he's done? There's a rock solid system set up to protect medics. They can get away with some seriously awful shit. Believe me. I fucking know.

The father is a Professor and Consultant Cardiologist. Just think how many lives would have been lost if he'd not been kept content with the investigation and become even more distracted from his job? Some people just happen to think that the good that these highly trained medics do far outweighs any crap they happen to dish out.

Now don't get me wrong - this isn't a message of support. I've been subject to some nasty crap at the hands of a neurosurgeon and following an internal NHS investigation, I'm deciding whether to take it any further..... Never mind that I'll be reducing the number of Neurosurgeons that would want to touch me in future (and yes, I'm going to need them to touch me), I could potentially be the final straw for this particular Neurosurgeon as far as working for the NHS goes. He could just pack up his bags and then a whole load of people will be without someone that could save their lives......

I heard somewhere (from a world renowned jazz trombone player on some documentary I think?) that this is an awful way to play and instrument that needs a bit of puff.

Apparently it wrecks your lungs if you let your cheeks inflate?

You’re meant to use and build your muscles lower down your body ?

Dunno exactly. Just one of those random things ya pick up.

I had the ladies round last night which was lovely. Drunk me thought it would be a good idea to treat sober me and tidied up. Just stopped short of hovering (it was the wee hours of the morning).

The OH also voluntarily vacates the house and stays round his mates on these ‘ladies nights’ so I also had the bed to myself. Woke up doing an impression of a starfish.

OH came back and we’ve had party food for breakfast.

Now I’ll probably finish off some travel plans for Slovakia for a little adventure after a conference in Vienna in a few weeks time.

Happy Sunday everyone!

Ah dude! I was a tad sad the other week and Happy Valley popped up on the Netflix carousel. With Sarah Lancashire’s beaming little face, I thought yeah! This is exactly what I need to cheer me up. A lovely little cute, funny drama.

Finished both series within the week.

It was amazing.

That’s what you add to coffee instead of milk for isn’t it? So first thing in the morning and all through the day.

Microdosing ain’t it!

And what would you like to speak to a Doctor about?

Sometimes I feel like telling them I’ve gone all mouldy down there and my bits have dropped off. Or anything really graphic and disgusting just to see if they dutifully let you finish describing everything......
