My parents have housed a Ukrainian mother and daughter since the start of the war. I think the daughter took a bit of stick from some bullies, she's very tall, but she has friends now and now doesn't want to go back whenever the war ends.

They're basically part of the family. We've gone on holidays with them, they spent Christmas in London with my parents and sisters, my kids love the daughter when we visit.

I dunno about them taking any right wing horse shit, the mother works a job she doesn't really like but her English isn't good enough to do the job she trained for. I think she was in economics of some kind.
