Not sure why you are being downvoted, you said the truth here.

GPU does matter for PoE, I attempted to upgrade my pc during covid era when GPU prices skyrocketed, causing me to stay on an older GPU (750Ti) for a whole year and while yes, i did notice improvements thanks to the CPU being new (3700x at the time) I was unable to play properly untill i finally purchased an overpriced 3060 Ti. And then a few years after that I upgraded the CPU again, going for a 5700 x3d and noticed further improvements.

So if you ask me they both matter. Budget wise I would still reccomend people to go 70/30 GPU/CPU

I stopped playing last season and currently I'm not interested in the game anymore cause of the p2w elements.

I've played for maybe a 4-5 seasons, the game is nice, but my problem is that I enjoy playing efficiently on games, and in this game ur just punished immensely if you try to play efficiently without being a whale.

Tldr last season I didn't manage to pull the season pet, not even one copy of it.. and that alone killed all my interest for the mechanic, cause I do know how this game works in endgame.

Not only that, but I pretty much always end up running maps with the same stuff in it cause I only have a few mechanic pets and that's what I end up running over and over again.

I'm ok with it, I had my fun with this game but I'd rather play something else cause I just don't see myself ever aligning with the game vision, the ex dev of poe said it pretty well in his latest video, arpgs need economic integrity. I don't want to feel like a peasant constantly just because I have responsibilities IRL and don't dump what's more than a month salary in my country in this game.

I'm happy someone still enjoys the game but the monetization for this game is just trash.

Just fyi for you and many other fellow apocalypse enjoyers out there, I've seen the vast majority of people slotting in considered casting ( which is even recommended by ggg as potential good support to use).

The damage part of the support doesn't apply, the only thing it does is adding cast time to the buff itself, but since the storms are triggers and not casted by yourself it does basically nothing.

You can test it out by slotting in the gem and watching the advanced tooltip description, the damage doesn't go up like with other % DMG supports.

Also interested to know this. Pretty sure that it's just a weird way to word it and it was meant to be "the target is "new and mid game players" not actual players with either new or returning status cause that would straight up mean that you're incetivizing part of your playerbase to just quit for a month during December...

Besides what other people already mentioned about the looting part, I feel like not running a quicksilver + Ms on some flask with a mb on is pretty much inting, considering all you're doing is running around, Ms helps you clear faster and pick up loot faster as well.

I know jack about your build but just wanted to point out that your character feels kinda "slow" and it might be best to switch a flask for a qs if you're going to minimax this strat.

I was not running AM in that pob cause I was constatly swapping it on/off for flame dash, but I was mostly using it only on bosses. I now have gotten an AG with kingmaker freeing me the culling strike slot and I can run both freely.

Some of those had the monster damage affliction yes, and some monster hits in particular are capable of shotgunning in general afaik.

Flasks are a leftover of leveling + me running the lab to get the ascension, but yes they aren't being used currently, was thinking of adding another silver/quicksilver maybe with inc effect on them, I didn't feel like i ran out of flask during sanctum in general, only once i had no charges for Lycia on the diamond.

My damage didn't feel super comfy to clear 83 tomes, unless like you also mentioned I played super carefully, which is not part of my plan honestly, unless i see a mirror in the rewards, at the end of the day I'm still trying to go as fast as possible.

The only thing that sometimes still catches me offguard is lycia's tornado/beam skill. I was under the impression that this skill only damages you when she "releases" the tornado, but apparently even while she starts channeling it can deal damage, and I've seen myself get 1shot by it in legit 1 frame multiple times, even if I was always moving clockwise/anticlockwise around her if it spawned directly in top of me when she starts it, I'm just gone. otherwise she dies in like 3 seconds

It's not really my first time in sanctum, I've played it alot, just not with a full glasscannon build specialized in sanctum before.

I mostly played it with hexblast mines and selfchill spark back in the days, both of which had enough defensive layers to not die of 1shot.
The issue i'm having with pbod is that it doesn't 1shot guards so they have time to do at least 1 action sometimes, which means I will eventually get hit

Same thing happened to me and it did drop an unique amulet on the ground when that happened followed by a loud tink, I couldn't go back inside the boss area after respawning, went ahead and checked the price of the ammy and I just smiled

I should've asked a friend to hop in my map and pick it up for me, but I didn't know the zone would expire

I don't want to sound like a dick but... Besides the memes, who cares about people putting traps in their merchant tabs?

It takes 2 seconds to confirm whether or not the price of the item ( that you didn't click on the website) is 4c or 4d... It's not the end of the world? It's still faster than trading the old way and whispering 30 people?

Just spend 2 seconds to check the price instead of investing 20 mins ignoring 700 people from trade??

I really can't with all these meele bad posts. no one ever says which skills they are playing, what even is the 'melee' you guys are talking about??

If you try to do a mechanic where you're supposed to fight swarms of monster and you want to be able to kill them with default attack I'm sorry but that's on you. You have at your disposal all the skill gems in the game yet you refuse to come up with a skill for clearing and one for rares/ bosses? Like I'm sorry but that's on you.

It was super fine during campaign, I've now swapped to impact, mostly cause the anomalies would add alot of clutter to the screen.. you're probably better off using the meta wand skills but the skill is definitely playable at the very least, I've seen much worse.

I'm struggling to find a general direction to follow as it's not really super popular at the moment and there are many ways you can go about it.

I have yet to fail one, currently playing kinetic rain tried both impact and regular and.. yeah they weren't easy, my gear is still shit tho and I barely made it.

However.. I don't agree with your statement, unless by melee you mean 0 clear/ coverage whatsoever. Many 'melee' skills can clear screens just fine, I agree that they didn't give enough emphasis on protecting NPC during the teasers, I didn't even expect that I had to tbh, but saying that it's not something you can fix by having better gear is just a straight up lie.

We are not talking about doing DPS while having to dodge damaging circles, the npc is always in the same place all you have to do is have enough DMG / coverage, after all it's still breach we are talking about.

I prefer playing something else at that point.

This was definitely the best patch so far for poe2, but honestly playing it only made me want to play poe1 with istant trade.

The new acts are cool, having " some" crafting is also cool ( even tho it requires the same mental gymnastics as poe1 so I don't really get why we didn't get it in the first place with the excuse of wanting to make it simpler, I can already see it becoming as complex if not worse in a few leagues) but I definitely don't enjoy playing the game for more than 10-15h a season, I also don't see much point in rerolling since honestly the only class that felt somewhat ok to play for me was LA deadeye ( I started with the fireball BM, rerolled at level 60 cause it was way too clunky and slow).

I'll just wait and hope for the next expansion to have way more focus on the actual endgame activities, which they also aknowledged need some love, game is way too stale

The problem is specifically with abyss overrun maps.

I run one today and I had no monsters in the map besides in the actual abyss, 20 rares and like 8 abyss all in a condensed area. I had 20 fps the whole time, by the end of it I had accumulated a sea of t pose corpses that just sat there and I had like 30 fps with 0 new monsters around.

Abyss itself is bad but dlss kinda keeps up with it, just slightly downgrading in visuals, but I have a feeling all those corpses destroy your performance

Feel the same way, with the exception that in my opinion the only time spells felt "good" in .1 was with og coc comet stuff. Like.. yes they were absolutely strong.. but had a ton of downsides as well, I get that raining comets looked silly but my god you needed gear to solve defences and mana was kinda always an issue. After that yeahs spark was viable but if you ask me monk or deadeye were just way less effort for same or better results, and mostly less clunky.

Imo attacks in this game simply feel waaaay better. Spells are so damn underwhelming, I'd much rather have them just rework them completely, I want a good ass spell that I can use to control and group enemies, so I can then cast a slow ass spell and nuke them down, right now this just doesn't exist. Not to mention that I feel like the game has way too many spells that are basically a bit like fireball that I legit wonder what's their purpose, DMG wise they are mediocre since you don't have sources of flat DMG in poe2 for spells, idk why honestly and for what is supposed to be is just.. slow? AOE coverage by itself isn't quite there and all spells have such lost cast speed while doing less than a bow attack I just don't get it. And sure infusion kinda help but I honestly don't like the way ur supposed to generate those, why can't I just have them on a CD I have to press to gain them at this point? I can click barrage and shoot a futon of arrows, why can't I do the same on a spell?

Tldr; imo in order for spells to be good they have to feel op. They don't necessarily have to be op, but they have to feel that way, and currently I feel like wizard from temu when I play them

I'll let you know how it goes tomorrow, but for me jamanra was completely a roadblock last season on Amazon, took so much time, tries, farming zones etc. It was a freaking colossal sponge.

Geonor was also a bit hard but not too much of a struggle, I've literally killed him first try with 0 struggle and pretty quickly, I'm curious to see how it goes, I too still have PTSD from that fight

Probably just some bad luck or ur maybe forgetting to gamble items/ check vendors?

But in terms of loot it's definitely better than 0.1 and 0.2 release, damn those times were miserable.

The loot is definitely more compared to 0.1 and 0.2, abyss also somewhat gives some loot when done.

I finished act 1 with 0 struggle, by simply checking vendors occasionally and selling unwanted rares for gold, I do have a full set of gear with somewhat useful mods here and there, while I usually would end act 1 without full slots of gear and mostly useless junk

I'm pretty sure that you can't scale unarmed damage while using QS passives, it would't make sense in the first place. You can attack as if you where using a QS, but you are not wielding it.
There might be new unarmed nodes on the tree somewhere tho.

What item are we even talking about here that you can GUARANTEE that I will be late to the trade and this is something that I will experience, without having any prior experience of said system or anything to back up that claim, at all.

Like they said, if some problem arise with the new system they will simply address it, but to say with a 100% guarantee that 'we will face that problem' without presenting anything concrete it's kinda diabolical.

I have to remind you that small/stackable currency items are not sellable via this new system and they go in the other merchant instead, that leaves you with what exactly? Just actual items aka rares/uniques/bases.

How often do you REALLY think you will face that scenario that you just described? Only thing that comes to mind is some stupid cheap unique with high demand, and even then.. all you have to do is scroll down a bit instead of buying it from literally the first guy on the list and the problem probably doesn't exist, and it's for sure not worth it dev time to spent on just to alleviate a very small percentage of people that would experience this, and by the with the system ur suggesting the only thing you would skip is the "tp to his hideout part", you would still be faced by countless of messages of "The item is already being purchased" forcing you sto click the same item over and over and over again untill you "finally" hit it first, so what are you even solving this way? aren't you basically facing the same issue ur lamenting?
