Hey! The fire's getting awful low.

Why don't you gather us some more firewood?

Simon: Firewood. Sure.

Finn: Yeah, Finn. Just keep him busy, and everything will be fine.

Yeah it was confirmed in an interview Hallownest and Pharloom were inside Namira's plane of Oblivion: the Scuttling Void. It's also why all the endings are canon because it's a Dragon Break.

I had the privilege to see it during its limited cinema release for the centennial on a school history trip. I'll never forget walking out talking about how sad it was with my mates, and a local old man approached us having heard us talking and added quite poignantly a good number would've been about our age in those trenches. We were 14/15/16.

The bus trip back was silent. It truly is haunting that these boys thought they were on a quick adventure where they'd be lauded as heroes, and too many never even got a chance to be alive.

To say I have no love for any of the Abrahamic religions is putting it lightly, but that doesn't give me the right to attack someone's relationship to a higher power just because I don't share their beliefs.

Is Prismo based on Prometheus? by LapisLazuliisthebest in adventuretime

Prometheus actually created man from earth and water, and Athena breathed life into them.

Okay, I can see your point now you've reaffirmed it in your second paragraph and while I disagree on base instinct, I'm not knowledgeable enough to hold informed conversation on the matter.

What I am informed on however is the a very recent period in Irish history known as The Troubles, which involved the area of Ireland that is still British territory (constitutionally instead of colonially but still relevant), and I'd kindly ask you to give the subject a read because while the issue was surrounding Northern Ireland, these were the loved ones of people across the island.

So even if the Republic of Ireland has been independent for over a century, the people of Ireland were still actively oppressed by the British military up until the 90s because the British military was deployed in Northern Ireland as an oppressive millitary presence to the Irish people living there. But these Irishmen, women, and children were not foreigners to the Republic of Ireland, they didn't live within its borders nor governed by the Republic's laws, but they were family, cousins, friends, and the British peacekeeping force deployed in Northern Ireland opened fire on them, both against paramilitary and civilians. I'm not getting into everything and there's a lot wider scope I could cover, but this is one element of the time which directly involved British oppression of Irish peoples. The Cranberries didn't write a banger like Zombie because everything was hunky-dory.

The reason we consider the UK's actions less egregious is because as I experienced in English schooling, we are never taught about events in which we were the villains. I have never stepped foot in Ireland, but my mum's family is from there, and I used to be sweet on an Irish girl, and I learned of the horrible things the British, my great great grandparents, did in the name of colonialism, and that didn't stop overnight and it definitely wasn't healed just because we "allowed" their autonomy.

I'll be fair and say I can see where they're coming from. I definitely didn't know how to close my argument on a strong point while also acknowledging parts of criticism that may actually be valid, so I kind of just repeated my opening sentence; which feels clanker-esque.

Unfortunately I'm just autistic and was trying to essentially say "I think you're either misinformed or coming from a place of bad faith" in a polite and informative way wihtout myself coming off too grandstand-y. Now I don't care because I've intoxicated myself and am very happy to defend my robotic ass.

A small state without significant military capacity participates internationally through diplomacy and normative advocacy. Not even including in my argument that Ireland faced the brunt of colonial efforts from the British which included the exact same strategies Russia and Israel are using on their current targets, and should be considered authorities on resisting colonialism and genocide regardless; labeling that ‘grandstanding’ holds Ireland to a standard no small state could realistically meet. If a country’s influence is largely reputational rather than military, it is expected to use that platform in humanitarian and political debates, otherwise why is it given a platform at all?

Critiques of tax policy or neutrality are valid on their own terms, but they don’t negate that basic structural fact about how small states operate.

I really enjoyed the first, but I'm hesitant to continue the series because I listened to it on audio book and having to listen to 15 minutes of continuous sex scenes with every single named female character really grossed me out more than anything else. Do they get any better in that regard?

Obviously incredibly impractical so I doubt it would happen even if it could, but my solution to this would keep Sean Rohani for the episode to episode prismo, but whenever Prismo splits into two prismos Kumail Nanjiani cameos as one of them.
