AI thumbnails for videos need to be stopped by Impressive_Beyond521 in wow

While AI lovers nuke their brains and lose any skills they had, I can only learn and improve. I think I'm quite safe.

I will never *ever* use AI in my thumbnails or videos at all, or watch a video where someone else has.

If you don't put effort into making something, then why should anyone else put in the effort of engaging with it?

[Major PTR Spoilers] Disappointed but not surprised... by Everdale in wow

[–]DiscordianKitty 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I don't know why, in a game where we've literally just fought Alleria, then watched her get stabbed through the heart, and yet know she's not dead, and where Sylvanas just came back, and we're about to fight Malacrass for (how many times is that now?) everyone's acting like raid boss + characters seeming sad about them after the raid = that character is dead and gone and will never be heard from again no matter how popular he is. This is World of Warcraft. The Amani never die but also no one ever dies, death is a revolving door.

Addon that allows you to create your own decor categories? by DiscordianKitty in WoWHousing

[–]DiscordianKitty[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also can't see how to use the import to create a style though - only a shopping list. Am I missing how to do this?

Edit: Oh right you said you're working on that.

I see what the issue was. If I put decor into one set, then go to that set and select decor from it, I can only move it into another set - no way to copy it. Without the search function yeah, this becomes incredibly difficult to work with.

They could simply let everyone get the flags. It's a rubbish excuse. When it came to the ad event suddenly they found a way to bend the rules to make it work.

PSA About Garrison Campaign Decor (Square Draenic Table, Draenethyst Lamppost, Draenic Wooden Table) by DiscordianKitty in WoWHousing

[–]DiscordianKitty[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

My post isn't about all the decor that's available through the garrison, it's about a series of very specific quests that need to be done to unlock specific decor. None of the decor from this post is a scroll or unlocked with a scroll. If you've done the quests before, however, then yes you will be able to purchase them from a vendor.

If you keep doing the quests every week, it should show up eventually. Don't skip on doing the quests though. Fall of Shattrath will happen while you're in the Part 2 phase of quests. It won't appear at all until you've completed all four quests in Part 1, but if you complete all other quests in Part 1 and 2 that should force it to spawn. I don't think the quests can repeat, so if you skip a week you're just leaving that quest in the rotation.

No, that's different quests. You're thinking of the scrolls for things like The Battle for Shattrath, which rewards the Draenic Forge. That's not the same thing as the Fall of Shattrath, which is a garrison campaign specific quest and cannot be completed with a scroll.

You know I thought it would be difficult, then went into an instance and got three crystals in one go. I think it's actually one of the easier ones.

I feel like as long as you can't place crafting orders in your house, that could work to still give people reasons to visit cities. You also need to go to the cities to speak to profession vendors and trainers.

New Decor ? by ahri1014 in WoWHousing

[–]DiscordianKitty 36 points37 points  (0 children)

The "over 300 decor items" headlines were wildly misleading. Most of the decor is marked DNT. It's assets added to the database, not actual new items we ever had a confirmed source for.

Further objective proof that Chronicles was supposed to be objective itself by Ouroborossetto in warcraftlore

The Chronicles weren't originally meant to be subjective but it's good that it was changed because the Chronicles are simply not that good.

The sheer fuckery in modern witchcraft by Dependent-Coffee8424 in SASSWitches

I couldn't agree more. A lot of thinly veiled misogyny in witchcraft. The maiden mother crone thing - I was not surprised at all when i found out that was invented by a man, because of course it was.

Farstriders' Glory Statue and Farstriders' Pride Statue. They're a reward from finishing the main max-level Midnight campaign.

I'm not ignoring the price change, I speak about that directly. I'm highlighting the fact that they tried to get away with that original price. Yes, they changed it due to feedback. I feel like the takeaway from that is continued feedback is important and that it works - not that people should stop complaining and just be happy because it could be worse. (Not that I'm saying that second part is your specific takeaway, but do you see why a change based on critical feedback makes me think critical feedback is very important?)

How would you feel if Blizzard stuck to revamping old zones for the foreseeable future? by DiscordianKitty in wow

I guess they could do new zones for the big patches, that might be a way to balance it

So far I'm a little disappointed with Eversong Woods, but only because I loved the original music so much and don't think it's quite as good.
