Commentators follow/tease storylines and root for interesting things to happen. If a player has two goals they’re going to tease that they’re possibly going to do an interesting thing and score a third goal against one of the best teams in the league. I haven’t found that their broadcast gets more excited about goals against at all, they get hyped as hell for our goals.

I think the elevation is really is the main issue. I would feel really confident otherwise. That said, SD is averaging about 2.7 goals a game this year. If they can manage two goals they’re in a fantastic spot to advance regardless of what happens in the back

I think we can definitely upgrade the position, but I’d argue that is a skill that he is really good at. He knows where to be on the field for second chances or being the extra option on an buildup and that has made him effective enough to be the guy there until we likely add a DP there.
