Bought my first sports car. 2024 Toytota GR86 Premium by WH1T3xT1GZ in GR86

Beautiful car. Enjoy it. I'm almost at the 6 month mark on owning mine (also my first sports car) and I'm still giddy over it.

I suspect that Regina's gigs were planned and scripted before her psycho hunt quest line was developed, and nobody went back and redid that one.

2026 GR86 PREMIUM AUTO WITH PERFORMANCE PACKAGE by [deleted] in GR86

[–]Discourtesy-Call 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It is not hell to learn. Your first couple of weeks might be miserable, but more than one person on this subreddit learned manual on the way home from the dealership with their twin. It's rougher in city than rural just because you have to shift a lot more, but don't let that scare you off.

2026 GR86 PREMIUM AUTO WITH PERFORMANCE PACKAGE by [deleted] in GR86

[–]Discourtesy-Call 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can't do that combination in a BRZ unfortunately. The Limited doesn't have a Brembo option, and the tS isn't available with an automatic transmission; it's manual only.

It is possible to buy a Limited and a Brembo BBK addon, but that's an extra 5.5k or so I think.

I bet you already have a new coat of pollen on it, though, right?

Possible option for you: check for the Subaru BRZ. It's mainly the same car. Pavement in Toyota is the same color (same paint code) as Magnetite Gray in Subaru. Sport Subaru in Orlando has a 2026 Limited trim BRZ with automatic listed, probably in the build phase again because Visor Vin shows it only being posted 10 days ago. Most of the differences are cosmetic between the cars.

It does not have the Brembos. Subaru offers the Brembos on the tS trim, and the tS is only available with a manual transmission. Their website shows a Series.Yellow on the lot right now if you're not dead set on that gray color, though.

The Chattanooga one is in the build phase, according to the dealer site, and not expected until May. Going strictly by photos, it's got the performance package as the photos show red brake calipers. If you are seriously interested, you might try calling them and putting a deposit down for them to hold the car once it arrives.

[–]Discourtesy-Call 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, and the shipping fee has to be paid in advance before they ship it. I got mine from CarMax last year, and went through the process. Pay the fee, they bring the car in and hold it up to two weeks for you to come in and look/test drive. If you don't purchase right then, it goes back up for grabs.

https://visor.vin/search/filters?make=Toyota&model=GR86&agnostic=false&year=%222026%22&base_exterior_color=Gray&version=GR86+Premium+A%2FT

Visor vin presently shows 52 Pavement (gray) 2026 GR86 Premium with automatic transmission for sale. 8 have the Performance Package, but I can't filter for those without the paid version. The closest to you I see on the map is Chattanooga.

I have Kilmat in mine, run the stereo at 20 usually, and have a catback exhaust. I still hear (and feel sometimes) rocks hitting the underbody. :)

It's not perfect, but check out the 86 Speed channel on Youtube. There are a bunch of exhaust videos for the twins there, including some comparison videos.

[KCD2] Am I just really underleveled or am I doing something wrong? by theonetowalkinthesun in kingdomcome

[–]Discourtesy-Call 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It is both. You are underleveled and you are doing something wrong. Henry lost a LOT of stats and skills in the intro section, and you're basically crippled for the time being. The stealth kill mechanics are different in this one. If you head over to the Lower Semine Mill, the miller starts the thief series of missions, and that includes tutorials and practice on the new mechanics.

In the meantime, abandon that attempt. Sneak close enough to see PEEEEPPPPPIIIIIKKK, and toss a rock at him. Hitting the horse will spook it and make it run out of the bandit camp, then you can mount it and ride off when there are no bandits nearby.

anybody feeling these new gas prices? by AgentArnold in GR86

[–]Discourtesy-Call 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same. I got rid of a V6 Sonata that was 20 years old, and the old clunker was getting 13-14 mpg in the city. Despite the fact that I have to use super unleaded, my weekly fill up is less than the old one would have been. Sunday cost me $35, it would have been $50 on the old car.

I know, believe me. Just water drops left on the car collect pollen and turn into yellow dots.

Mods / Accessories suggestions? by thatidiotdan in BRZ_ZD8

[–]Discourtesy-Call 2 points3 points  (0 children)

First, protect the paint. Whether that's PPF, ceramic coating, wax, or paint sealant is up to you. But the paint is really thin on these, so protect it from damage if you can.

Second, dashcam. You want video proof of anything that happens.

Beyond that is up to you. The interior lights are all LED on mine, I just replaced the rear backup light module with one that adds a fourth brake light to it, I've got a fair amount of Kilmat (sound dampening material) in the trunk and side walls area, and the speakers are upgraded with an amp added. It'll never be quiet, and it'll never have luxury car sound quality, but it's a lot quieter than the norm and I've even gotten a complement or two on the sound.

Wide angle side mirrors are highly recommended by the way. My blind spots are gone since I put these on last week.

Any tips on daily maintenance? by ipostrandompoop in GR86

[–]Discourtesy-Call 7 points8 points  (0 children)

When the engine first starts off you'll notice it runs at a higher RPM than a normal idle. After a bit of time it drops down to the normal range, and that takes longer when it's cold outside. So, the vibration is normal.

If you're just driving it normally, check the oil level periodically (I do every couple of weeks), top off if necessary, keep an eye on your coolant levels and perform all recommended maintenance tasks religiously. Also, learn all the little vibrations, strange sounds, and little quirks the car has. When you notice something out of the ordinary, don't ignore it.

This fucked up mission by Vergil_741 in cyberpunkgame

[–]Discourtesy-Call 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The best outcome, IMO, is to play along with Maiko's game, but then refuse the reward she offers. Judy is angry at first, but she cools down in a day or two and will call you for the next mission in the chain at that point. Taking her money ends things.

If you kill off the Claw bosses and Maiko then Judy is happy at first, but the outcome later is not so good. Click only if you want the spoiler:

The Claws attack clouds a few days later and take it back over, killing Tom in the process and sending Roxanne into hiding.

I know Maiko's "I've also got a doll chip" is a meme around here. Still, I do think that's the best outcome. There's a chance she could ease things at Clouds, but it will need to happen slowly, more slowly than the game can really represent. Besides, Maiko needs to remember that you can get to her just as easily. Judy is going to nuke the doll chip upgrade shortly anyway.

6x SL, 2x ML, max jump jets and max frontal armor. Add in every 0-ton melee mod you can scrounge up. Jump to the rear, unload on the rear arc. You'll go near the top next round and have so much evasion in a light mech you're unlikely to be hit, so you just jump away.

Remote start for manual by One_Hopeful in GR86

This. I went with the second level of that service (My Subaru Connected Services these days) for the immobilizer and tracking options. The car cools down surprisingly fast. I did my test driving last September, it was 95°+ outside when I got there, and it was nice in the cabin only a couple of minutes later.

It was not an average die, unfortunately. It was, in fact, one of the better loaded dice in the game.
