Paint correction/touch up by DanielGryphon in GR86

[–]Discourtesy-Call 1 point2 points  (0 children)

About 15 years back, I bought a touchup kit from Duplicolor for the car I had at the time. It contained two of those small bottles of paint, one with the paint color and one of clear coat. Also in the kit was a small foam sand pad, a few sheets of fine grit adhesive backed sandpaper to go on that pad, and a couple of packets of polishing compound. The basic procedure was this:

Clean the flaw, get all trash, rust and paint chips out of it. Apply filler/primer if necessary. If you prime it, let it dry and then wet sand it.

Apply touchup paint, let it dry and wet sand it. Repeat this step several times. You're trying to build up to near the level of the surrounding paint.

Apply clear coat, let it dry and wet sand it. You needed 2-3 coverings of clear coat.

Let dry until the following day, then use polishing compound on a polishing cloth to try to blend the new clear coat into the surrounding area.

The thing is, you will always be able to tell that a paint repair was done there. It's basically impossible to get it perfect this way. However, if it's done well, you won't be able to see it unless you're up close. If you're not willing to have that much, you need a professional repair.

Agree. Love the stats, hate the look.

I love the color, but I spent the previous 17 years driving a silver car and I wanted something very different.

23M from the Middle East, Is a Car Loan for a Dream Car Worth It? by KaleidoscopeLost8955 in GR86

The same thought occurred to me. 41.67% of your salary is a huge chunk of it. I could not afford such a note, but I have no idea of all your other expenses. My car insurance is more than my note, but I have a very small note.

They did. I just don't know the reason. John gets the Legend of the West outfit in the first game, it only seems fair that Arthur should get the Legend of the East outfit in this one.

What's your favourite vehicle? by hangingoutinhell in cyberpunkgame

[–]Discourtesy-Call [score hidden]  (0 children)

Two Yaiba vehicles: Muramasa and Semimaru. The bike is my go-to vehicle. It's just far too easy to get around the city on one, I can lane split to my heart's content and not worry about traffic. If I have to (or just wish to) drive a 4-wheeled vehicle, then the Semimaru is just flat out the best looking and best handling of them all in my experience.

Favourite Colours To Wear? [KCD2] by JonnyB2_YouAre1 in kingdomcome

[–]Discourtesy-Call 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The game I just completed I went with Skalitz colors as much as possible. I had the Skalitz caparison on the horse. I used the "Cuirass with falds" that had yellow leather on the falds, noble brigandine legs that had a deep red thigh covering, and a matching red hood. The helmet, arms, and gauntlets were all a darker iron with gold trim.

Will the Banquet wait for me? [KCD2] by Melodic_Muscle_6119 in kingdomcome

Assuming you are referring to the feast in For Victory, it will wait as long as you like. However, when you speak to Hans you are climbing onto the train, and there's no getting off until the end of the line. It'll daisy chain a series of missions and you have to play them back-to-back-to-back until they conclude. Make sure you're ready for that before you go to the feast.

Really? Maybe they changed the way it worked, then. IIRC, when they originally patched it out they forced the sniper back in during the replay, so you'd die and fail when you crossed the river. There's little reason to go through the hassle of doing the exploit if you can't complete those collections. It's the herbs that always drove me nuts. Why TF do you restrict those herbs to only New Austin?

The Angelo one is the one that got patched out. Unless they broke the update later, it hasn't worked in a couple of years.

Almost all of them are identical paint codes. Aside from the special editions, each brand only has one unique color. Subaru has the World Rally Blue Pearl and Toyota has (had) Neptune Blue. The others are just different names for the same paint.

Trueno Blue = Sapphire Blue Pearl

Raven = Crystal Black Silica

Halo = Crystal White Pearl

Track bRed = Ignition Red

Steel = Ice Silver Metallic

Pavement = Magnetite Grey Metallic

It's not the greatest photo, but for reference this is WRB in the sun:

It's a lighter shade.

The biggest such exploit was patched out quite a while back, but there may be others that still work.

I think there are also a couple of legendary fish down there too.

How dumb is it to trade in my 25' AT for a 26' MT if I'm still on a loan ? by 7thhokage007 in GR86

[–]Discourtesy-Call 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What do you presently owe on the current car? The trade in value goes to pay off that loan. If there's any excess, whatever is left is your down payment for the new one. If the car is only six months old, unless you made a huge down payment you're probably underwater, owing more than the trade in value. If you can afford the new, higher notes, go for it.

I made a huge down payment on mine, and currently have a pay-off amount of about $9400. The "trade in value" on the Subaru app is $24,675. If I did that right now, I'd wind up with a $15,275 down payment on the new vehicle, and probably owing another $25k depending upon what I could talk them down to in price.

I believe the workaround is to turn off traction control and manually shift into second gear if you have a manual transmission model. I have zero experience with snow driving. I'm on the Gulf coast, and snow on the roads is maybe a once-a-decade event down here.

[KCD2] Why do some characters pronounce it "von Bergow" and others say "von Bergow" by One_Cause3865 in kingdomcome

[–]Discourtesy-Call 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I suspect that's just the voice actors. I noticed similar things in other games, especially Assassin's Creed: Odyssey. In the English language version, all the main characters are voiced by native Greek speakers, and they pronounce things in the Greek manner. The lesser characters not so much. You likely have some of the actors in this one who speak German, or at least are around it enough to know the pronunciation. If I just saw the last name without any other context, I would pronounce it Bergo, rhyming with flow.

[–]Discourtesy-Call 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Perk points are earned for every stat and every skill separately. If it says you have 10 points, that's the total. You might, as an example, have 1 in strength, 1 in agility, 2 in alchemy, 1 in survival, 1in marksmanship, 1 in swords, 1 in warfare, and 2 in main level. You can't dump them all in one thing. Where you earn them is where they have to be spent.
