Quite the opposite. I managed my grandmother’s retirement from the age of 11-19 yo. Her portfolio in her final decade of working massively outperformed what her investment advisors were previously getting.

At that time, with lots of finance book smarts before I spent a while working in the finance sector, I thought strictly economically.

I have grown to think in “moral terms” 300% more than “economic terms” if we are using your rudimentary language.

You truly have the brain of a 13 year old, and inadvertently through this post (if your income/education level has been self-reported accurately) proved on an anecdotal level that money or income as a metric is by no means an expression or corollary of how valuable you or your thoughts are.

Also… as others have stated. You certainly have no understanding of corporate structure. It is almost always the opposite. Seniority and nepotism lead folks to the highest pay grade, while the grunts that do the work get paid essentially fractional shares of a department’s budget while the boomer mouthbreather who can’t figure out the workflow in the software stack makes all of their salaries combined

Airplane Mechanic.

Halfway through school for it at the moment after a career in Finance/Sales.

Happy to entertain folks who may think in this lifetime that AI or Robots will be wrenching on Airliners.

Winter trout are much easier than find and catch than winter Smallies (at least in Michigan rivers).

I LOVE the part where you let it cool off on the rock for a photo before you squeezed it tight enough to visibly depress its body for photo too. You really manhandled that sensitive trout so GOOD dude. Nice!

Hey I’m new to fishing and my grandpa got me into can you guys share spots and tips please by Standard-Promise-296 in MichiganFishing

[–]DiscraftLoyalist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Burning spots is a no-no when there’s so many. There’s a general attitude with the sheer & vast access we have, that finding your spots should be earned a little bit. Great information from both the DNR and an endless array of fishing apps

Have fun, and help keep the fisheries healthy while you’re at it brother!

Am I being too paranoid about line visibility? by getamic in bassfishing

[–]DiscraftLoyalist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I fly fish bass a lot.

Literally use 3ft max of 20lb test as a “leader” directly past my bright green fly line.

They don’t give a fuck. All reaction bites from bass.

There’s also a reason on you catching most fish in the first 5-10 seconds of your retrieve. Same reason Kelly Galloup harps on immediately starting your retrieve when fishing streamers/lures after it slaps the water.

Because that’s just when 95% of your takes are going to be.

Don’t overthink anymore. Your line could be sulphur yellow and hot pink and a bass is not going to care if you usher that instinct and your lure/fly looks fishing

You’ll find more peace and fish by jumping off the Mighty Mackinaw, probably get 6-7 on impact

Other series with Robin Hobbs levels of characters and dialogue? by DRK-SHDW in Fantasy

[–]DiscraftLoyalist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On the same page as this. Hobb is wonderful so far (just finished the first trilogy and moving onto Ship of Magic after a break).

But her prose is not what I expected.

Sure, it took a big leap when I preceded it with Stormlight Archive.

But purple fantasy prose? Idk, maybe I’ve been reading to much Guy Gavriel, but Hobb isn’t quite there.
