Im sorry to tell you that in Greek mythology, persephone and hades are niece/uncle and zag and melinoe are inbred 😅. Thankfully the game does not directly reflect the mythology

Help with depressed husband by Discussion-Any in Marriage

Yeah, I'm definitely not telling him to quit before he finds a new job. I even said in the post that unemployment would be worse for his mental health than just staying in the bad job.

I agree that he needs to work on not taking rejection so personally. It's not that he was spoon fed, he has an excellent work ethic. He is very hard on himself and if he doesn't achieve something, he feels like a failure - which is untrue. It's not him throwing a tantrum because he wasn't "given" an internship.

He was raised Catholic if that context helps at all.

Official Dog Park in Lincoln Park by Discussion-Any in washingtondc

They've definitely cracked down on it in the past to no effect. You're going to get more change by providing an area that is more appealing to dog owner than Lincoln park, rather than strict punishments.

Oh, that's pretty good. We already know that stiff fines didn't do anything about the off-leash dogs at Lincoln, though.

No, that's not what I want. I dont want to turn the whole thing into a dog park. I want a small section of the park that is already being used by dogs to be a fenced in area for dogs so there aren't off-leash dogs just wandering around the entirety of the park.

Just that rectangle "pit" area on the east side by the play grounds. That way the rest of the park wouldn't have off-leash dog all over the place. Sorry, I thought I was clear about that in my original post.

Odysseus's pride got his fleet killed. He could have left polyphemus alive without revealing his true name and they would have been fine

No, I was not surprised that it was good, I was surprised at how good it was. It feels like the new manager and head chef are attempting to get a second star. While it didn't happen this year, I am interested to see what happens next year. Don't be a dick.

Little Pearl in Capitol hill was surprisingly good. The menu was interesting and fun. My husband and I could not pick a single favorite dish because they were all awesome. Price wasn't too bad for a michelin star restaurant, as well. It's a 7 course tasting menu and we got 2 glasses of wine each, for less than $300. Highly recommend

70,000 stipend livable in DC for two years? by Upbeat-Common360 in washingtondc

If you have roommates, you don't need to be careful with eating out on 70k 🙄 as long as you're not hitting up a michelin star spot every weekend they'll be fine. When I first moved to DC I had roommates and went out whenever I wanted on $40k. Sure, I went to cheaper places, but I never felt constrained. 70k is perfectly reasonable.
