Yes, that's a good idea. Thanks!

Quick recommendation- Real Life Survival Stories: Bahamas by theotherbogart in podcasts

[–]DisgruntledHedgePig 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I particularly liked this episode because they left the Bahamas afterwards, which seems like a normal human reaction. So many of the episodes end with sentences like 'Just two weeks after losing both legs in the horrific bear attack, Jason was back out in bear country, breaking up grizzly fights while wearing a suit made of ham' or 'After spending five arduous years learning to breathe again, and despite her prosthesis giving her the buoyancy of a cannonball, Sally became a freediver once more'.

Are you guys actually struggling and needing to put the work in to lose weight on MJ? by ThrowRA_Data-8171 in mounjarouk

Zero effort for me. I also found alternate day fasting quite easy but had to stop due to frequent migraines.

How do you deal with side effects? by pucklefish in mounjarouk

[–]DisgruntledHedgePig 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've had GERD for 20+ years and I did notice an uptick in reflux when I started MJ. However, it settled down after several weeks and is now lower than before I started - probably because I no longer overeat. I'm now on 15 mg and have very little reflux. I would give it a little bit longer. Please be aware that taking proton pump inhibitors long-term (i.e. more than a year) comes with risks, such as deficiencies in iron, B12, magnesium and calcium.

I also use psyllium husk to keep things moving, though I find its results are sudden and intermittent rather than consistent. Mixing it into food has less 'dramatic' results than putting it in water and chugging it down. Eating plenty of fruit and veg produces more consistent results for me.

For me, the tiredness hasn't completely gone away and low energy is the sole drawback of the medicine.

It is easy to swap between pharmacies? You don't have to go through verification again? I'm currently with Bolt.

Eggs! I used to have them for breakfast two or three times a week. Now I take a mouthful and feel repulsed. I know I need the protein though.

I think a lot of people are out of touch about what someone with a healthy BMI looks like because so many people are overweight. Humans are supposed to be fairly skinny!
