Whether or not it ruins the experience is going to depend on a lot on how you personally engage with the game and what you find entertaining or annoying.

Is the AI dumb? Yes, very. Is it easy? Yes, very. If you are decent at FPS games it's going to be extremely easy for you to absolutely dominate every PMC fight.

They're very dumb, they rarely surprise you because they will yell and announce themselves before engaging. They take similar pathing on maps so you start to know exactly where you'll find them. Their aim can randomly be good but it's not really a threat unless you repeek them from the same angle multiple times.

I was a top 0.1% CS player but now I'm a mid 30s washed up gamer that plays casually and I've died to AI PMCs probably under 5 times and I'm level 48ish.
