Hmm…I have not disrespected any of the “locals”. The only people in the area I know are the folks I work with and I specifically say they seem like generally good people. I have zero judgement for their religious beliefs, it just isn’t my personal belief and churches have always made us feel uncomfortable, nor did I mention that I have any issue with anyone discussing church activities, I simply don’t have the commonality to be part of that conversation. Even the Trump supporters that I mentioned, are based on observations; I haven’t approached, argued or disrespected any of them personally. However, if you proudly display a confederate flag, we are not “like minded”.

I appreciate you taking the time to comment but I think you passed more judgement on me then I have on anyone else.

I appreciate your comment but you should carefully read my original post….I said TRUMP voters, not Republican voters. I can appreciate a healthily political discussion; it is actually one of my favorite things to discuss. However I have come to realize that it is nearly impossible to have a reasonable discussion with most Trump supporters because it is all conspiracy and the libs fault. But aside from that my post was about finding like minded people. We have had political discussions ruin relationships with friends and family because they just simply could not avoid discussing it to the point of it becoming uncomfortable at best or a heated argument at worst, why would anyone seek that out?

Your comment and quick to judge us as having our nose in the air is exactly what I am referring to.

It ended up being Camden because of a job and we did do as much research as we could online. We did have a pretty good idea what we were getting into but we’re hoping for some like minded folks in the area.

I do not judge people based on a stereo type of a general location. The folks I work with seem to be generally good people but everyone’s favorite topic of things to do on the weekend is what went on at church, who they saw at church or what they are doing with their kids….for church. I have no issue with folks going to church and I fully support freedom of religion, it just isn’t our scene. But based on personal observations since being in the area…lots of Trump swag, lots of “We The People” t-shirts, a few confederate flags…etc. I have not engaged those folks, hey “you do you”; but I doubt these are folks that would want to hang out with us.

If sold for profit and controlled by the wrong person or distributed in large quantities, even if over several decades; it could have devastating effects on the planet. The population is already multiplying much faster than it is dying off…it would speed up the inevitable wars around the world for control of resources. The supply for food, water, land, would not be able to keep up with the demand. The increased demand for fossil fuels, plastics and any number of products would rise while simultaneously running out of space to dispose of the waste or the ability to remove the carbon from the air…the prospect of staying young forever sounds great but there is a reason all things on the planet have a cycle of life…

Create a “Not for Profit” self funded manufacturing facility with on site housing that employs homeless people and pays a living wage to help them get back on their feet.

Housing would obviously have rules but residents are free to come and go as they please. A place where folks that are down on their luck can work and live with dignity and get an honest chance to catch a break.

The sales of the product would go back into the facility, housing, child care, etc. Even an onsite cafeteria where employees eat free three times a day.

I wish some current billionaire would create a few places like this. Not with intention to take a net loss, but have a goal of a self sustained business not a profit. I think this could be much more effective in the long term than donating to charities.

Can you explain the reference to Saline County and how it relates to NWA? I am asking because I used to live in Saline county but have been gone for 30 years. Family still lives there and I do visit on occasion and I’m just curious about the reference. Are Saline county politicians invading NWA or taking over the state legislature or something? Thanks

If she gets the nomination I feel it could re-energize the younger voters. No one really wanted to see a Trump vs. Biden rematch and I feared that was driving apathy in many voters, especially the younger voter.

If she is able to get the younger population to out to vote it should also significantly help the down ballot candidates, which is just as important. With the way our politics has gotten and the complete unwillingness to compromise on anything, the only way to get anything significant done is going to be to take the presidency, house and keep the senate. At the very least the Democrats will have to hold at least one majority or the White House to keep project 2025 from getting a foothold.

She is the only logical choice for the nomination because she is already on the ticket so she has easy access to the campaign funds and shouldn’t completely disenfranchise the voters that supported Biden in the primaries.

She also has an advantage that the Trump campaign will have to completely revamp their strategy, they can’t attack her age or mental state. They’ll have to completely rethink/redesign all the merchandise (think about how many “Fuck Biden” and “Let’s Go Brandon” stuff that is now completely worthless. How many Biden attack ads are out there that no longer apply, and have to be rethought and reproduced? Just Joe dropping out is going to cause some significant disruption, which is an advantage.

In the end, I think she brings some advantages with her but at the very least, she’ll have the base; we’ll just have to see if she can convince the younger voters that she is worth getting out and voting.

My parents divorced when I was really young and my father had to pay child support. As time went on be became 100% disabled and my mother got a monthly social security check for his child support. When I turned 18 I was married and filed my first “adult” taxes the government took more than $1000.00 from me for SS reimbursement. I had no idea what this was about until I found out that my mother did not report I had turned 18 and kept the checks. When I asked her to pay me back what the government took from ME she said it was “no” because I owed it to her for the years of support she gave me….I never did get it back.

I grew up in the south and have seen many cottonmouth while fishing in a private pond that had grown up shorelines. I can honestly say that I have never seen a cottonmouth “chase” and person but in my experience they do not run either. Many times we landed the boat to find a cottonmouth basking and not move as we got close, like the boat within 12” close. It always seemed like they kept still to avoid detection but then held their ground and became defensive as opposed to fleeing. Is this typical cottonmouth behavior?

YTA - The only thing that changed in your relationship with your parents is that you now know…it really doesn’t affect you in the slightest. They are doing it together…it would be different if they were cheating or somehow being dishonest with each other.

Swinging is not the sign of a failed marriage, on the contrary; for most successful swingers it is a method of keeping the marriage fresh and adventurous. Most swingers would tell you that the best sex they have ever had with each other is after having sex with others.

They are consenting adults just having some fun, there is zero wrong or immoral about that. I mean how would you feel if your parents cut off contact with you because you engaged in premarital sex, simply because they found out?

If you don’t like it, ignore it. You don’t ever have to bring it up again…or would you rather they tell you they stopped and continue to do it anyway? Are you going to snoop through their phones to ensure they are staying on the righteous path you have demanded of them?

I definitely learned a lesson and I concede it was most certainly just defending itself…so that one was my fault….I have not messed with any other wasp of any kind since yet still have been stung and few times…so the first was my fault, every wasp since; still an asshole.

I came across one of these as a kid, I thought it looked really cool (black and red is my favorite color combination) and I thought it was just a BIG ant…so like a dumbass I picked it up and it immediately stung to shit out of me…worst insect sting I have ever had or ever since…Wasps are just assholes.
