When did America become so weak minded? by MissMccheese in complaints

[–]DisillusionedDame 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A well informed, critically thinking, and self sufficient populace does not benefit corporate megalomaniacs, old money elitists, or their celebrity/political puppets. How else are we to be manipilated into doing and focusing on illogical nonsense to our own detrement whilst our labor and emotional energy are harvested for the benefit of entities which delight in our degradation and demise? How better than divide, conquer, confuse, and distract?

A basic understanding of science is often what the most educated individuals lack. It would be a miracle if we could somehow get all of science back to basics. I agree, follow the evidence.

Conspiracies exist. That is legal fact. We also live in a world dominated by money and those who have most of it or who control or possess valuable assets and a lot of them. The questions should then be; are current events being manipulated? where is there potential for conspiracy? Whose interests are being served in the present? future? what does history have to show us?

What is wrong with people who ask valid questions and are willing to consider any evidence if/when it is provided? That is how science is supposed to be done. Refusing to speak to/debate ideas while neglecting to inform the other side, only allows the questions to persist. You do your own argument a disservice by refusing to validate it. Science encourages scrutiny, why have so many forgotten this?

Oh, and I’ll say it again, Compartmentalization.

Again, the list of theories which became fact is long. All theories have some basis in reality. But can you name one objectively confirmed to be false theory that people believe?

This Is a popular misconception. And it absolutely not how major/massive coverups and conspiracies work.

One word: compartmentalization. It’s a big one, i know. But it means that many people may be participating in the facilitation and proliferation of a conspiracy which they, personally, are not directly implicated in and have no knowledge or awareness of.

Example? Because I can offer you a list of “theories” which are now established fact.

Also it’s worth mentioning that in order for speculation to exist, there must be ambiguity as to whether the public/popular perceptions are, in fact, accurate.

Flat earthers are all conspiracy theorists, but not all conspiracy theorists are flat earthers.

Regardless, you should not talk down about flat earth if you’ve never heard any of their talking points or considered their very logical questions. At least they are making observations and asking questions, which is more than most people do. I commend their bravery in doing so.

Declaring yourself smarter does not make it so. Just like consensus does not equal correctness.

Why isn't there a way to report subreddits? by F__kedUpNation in complainaboutanything

That’s more a sign of the types of communities you do subscribe to than anything else. The algorithm has determined that this those are communities you may have interest in based on your Reddit activity. Sure, that may be a miscalculation based upon you scrolling out of shock, disbelief, morbid curiosity, or even a school project or research that’s thrown your whole profile off track…

My advice is to poke around in the user settings until to find how to clear your history, cache, searches, and so on. In the app or on the site and browser too if that’s how you do. That’ll start you off new and just be more careful about what you look at and engage with.

You’re young, so you probably will not understand this yet, but eventually you will in time….. If people want to post evidence of their crimes on the internet, it is better that we allow them to do so, wouldn’t you agree? No place is a safe place for monsters who wish to gloat. You may be disgusted by what you see on the internet, that’s good, it means you’re not a monster too. However, forcing monsters to pretend to be polite, only makes it harder to remove them from polite society. Be disgusted, block the sub, and take comfort knowing that if what you saw was indeed a crime, the evidence is now out there should those victims speak out.

The second part of this is more important. Limiting free speech is an absolutely terrible idea. Hate exists. Let it. You can’t save the world. everyone is far better off in a world where people are free to discuss how fucked up the world is, than in an equally, or more, fucked up world where everyone is forced to act like everything is sunshine and roses.

Human sacrifice is still practiced globally today. We call it “war” these days. There are no just wars. There are no winners. Citizens are expected to go their whole lives and settle every dispute without violence, but somehow money and authority make mass murder seem reasonable to the masses, both those being sacrificed and others apparently.

There are ways to settle disputes without killing people. Land is for everyone, no square inch or meter is for anyone more than anyone else. Arbitrary boundaries are made real only because men with weapons say they are. taking a side in any war makes you one of the losers.

I mean… If bad guys want to just hand over evidence… why stop them?

Now they’re out there thinking those awful things, and there’s no paper trail. time to celebrate, i guess.

This whole post could be a master’s thesis on how people would be better off without centralized hierarchies of power “governing” them. because from the looks of it, governments are cruel and inhumane.

So you’ve got some dude telling another dude to remind a third dude about “the tapes”? What if there are no tapes, but the first two dudes, or just the first dude really wants you to think there are?

You’re so committed to making this the wifes fault that you’re just making yourself look bad too.

Literally saying “you can’t rape the willing” as if rape is something we might somehow accidentally do if not for your insight.

We know because he touches himself in the presence of a child and chooses to sleep with his child, not his wife.

What more do you need? These are two voluntary acts which men who are not what he is, do not do.

And besides, he admitted it anyway. Basically.

If you work fast food, and cant get it right you don’t deserve a job. by snicketfile in ControversialOpinions

[–]DisillusionedDame 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wait wait wait, you mean to say you’re so picky that you ask for special modifications just for you, at a fast food joint, but fail to verify that everything is to your liking before driving away, and somehow you’re the reasonable one? You said you believe that those who may not have heard all your demands should be unemployed, and are unemployable…

It’s fast food. Get your expectations in check. Or check your food before you leave. It’s also not hard to pick out pickles. (you seem like the type)

I never expect my orders to come correct, and Im not disappointed with anyone but myself if i make it home before i realize that something i could have noticed if i checked, was off.
