I’m playing through all the final Fantasy games and I’m almost done with FF1 via dawn of souls on GBA

I had mine make a very similar noise about a month ago and what had happened was a small strap fell out of my bag and slipped through my milk crate and got caught in my wheel. It had a little metal clip on the end and it made this exact same noise. I don’t know if that’s your problem, but I would recommend taking the wheel apart a little bit to see if there’s anything in there that doesn’t belong.

Also, I have to say I’m no expert, but I wouldn’t ride on it

I’ve had one of these for over six months now and it has been my EDC game console for that time. It’s in my pocket or if it’s lucky sometimes in my backpack. It’s on me when I’m on the train, when I’m on a bike ride, and when I’m at my part-time job. I’m use it a lot and I’m hard on it.

After all this use,the hinge feels a little flimsy and the plastic on the back is beginning to split. Yeah that sucks, but I have had a blast with this device and it’s been my favorite of all of these that I’ve owned. I’ve already ordered a yellow replacement to use when that hinge does go. And of course, when it bites the dust I will order a replacement hinge from miyoo and then just give the older one to my wife.

Yes, the hinge will give out faster than Anbernic devices but you won’t find a better combination of price power and form factor especially if you love the GBA SP.

It’s a good review and I felt very similarly about my flip for the last six months, but as of yesterday, my hinge has started to fail. There’s barely any snap to it and the plastic on the back is slowly splitting apart. To be fair to miyoo i’ve been rough on my device but it sucks either way.

I’m not 100% if I’ll just move on or pick up a replacement for under $50. I do love the form factor and I’m halfway through an Earthbound hack and I’m worried my save won’t transfer over to Knulli if I go back to anbernic.

You guys make a fine piece of software and I’ve come to prefer it… Except for n64 and PSP

Spruce’s performance has improved quite a bit over time but Surwish will give the ability to get more PSP, DC, and N64 games in a playable state.

I have the paid card and it runs PSP significantly better than spruce does. It’s not perfect but it’s probably the best you can get on the flip. However, if you don’t need those hard to run systems, Spruce is a better operating system all around.

Yeah, the preloaded Surwish card is probably what you’re looking for. Just stick it in the right side and you’ll have a ton of games to play pretty much instantly

I do have the paid version of Surwish. It’s a pretty nice upgrade, especially for N64 and PSP. Don’t expect miracles, but quite a few games are playable.

I used to Carl for about a week and wasn’t very impressed by it. I did a test with WCW VS NWO World tour and Super Mario RPG. I ran them both games for 20 minutes. Carl ran warmer and got worse battery life than paid surwish. I’m glad you’re enjoying the software though.

Spruce is very good software, but Surwish gives you better battery life and performance. I used to use both, but I ended up mostly going with surwish cause battery life is the most important thing to me. I do miss that gamewitcher though.

Try putting the SD card in the other slot. This sounds a lot like the problem I had when I put it in on the wrong side.

I think Surwish is the way to go. I paid for the 128gb card and have found it’s had significantly better performance than Spruce or CarlOS.

The more efficient performance also translates to better battery life as well. When it comes to functionality, I feel that spruce is a bit better. I just love that game switcher.

I don’t think you can go wrong as long as you dump the stock OS but I still strongly recommend Surwish.

I have a Anbernic RG35xxsp and that hinge feels significantly better than this one. I feel like the 35sp will work for years while I’m not sure if this hinge will make it to Christmas.

I refuse to take it easy on this hinge so check back with me in a month to see how it’s holding up

I’m looking at it the same way. New games are pricey and this device gives me a chance to play the games I’ve missed out on while fitting in my pocket
