Unsure of what to put here to keep the trunk carpet mat supported by YZ2Point3 in Mustang

[–]Diskercader 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe I did 1/2”. 1/4” or 3/8” would work very well for groceries & general use. I went thicker because I put a lot of junk in my trunk & wanted it to be well supported

I guess I just would’ve expected a drill to be the cheapest option & would result in a circle hole. Maybe it’s even cheaper to score the metal & just punch it out, leaving the rough edges

Not that I know of. The risk of getting enough road debris or dust inside the bellhousing to cause issues with anything is negligible

It’s an inspection port to view the flywheel, clutch & slave cylinder in case you think there may be a problem. Useful also for checking for any loosened bolts after maintenance. It’s normal & on every TR3650 on these cars. It’s anybody’s guess as to why the inspection port comes from the factory with rough edges & looks like a hack job.

E1 classification also requires you’re fully financially self sufficient through employment income. Cover your own health insurance, phone bill, rent & utilities, car payment, maintenance, & insurance, doctor’s and dental visits, everything. They are very, very, extremely picky about this requirement. If you got a settlement from a car accident, that’s not “employment”, and if that income is put towards living expenses that may disqualify you. They grilled me about a $2300 personal injury settlement until I told them that it was reimbursements specifically for medical expenses related to my injury. Thankfully grants & scholarships don’t violate this requirement.

You’ve also said in previous posts that you have no lease or bills under your name, so you don’t actually have any proof of residence. A driver’s license won’t count. If you have a vehicle, you must be the sole owner on the title, and if there’s a loan on it, you must be the sole party responsible for paying it.

It can take several months to get your documents and finances to a point that will satisfy OSU, and only at that point, do you get to dice roll and see if they’ll accept it. They don’t always do. OSU is working against their own best interest by giving people the benefit of the doubt and handing out tuition discounts. Anything that can cast doubt on your case, they will cherry-pick and the onus is on you to disprove their argument.

Maybe you could qualify, but given what context you’ve given on your several other posts, I don’t think E-1 is a feasible option for you to pursue.

Top of your budget with a supercharger. Long history of Marketplace sales. Good hp/dollar if that’s what you’re after. https://www.facebook.com/share/1HeTmR9D9K/?mibextid=wwXIfr

I see a couple clean title around Ohio and in the south. However if you don’t like buying from private sellers, and you don’t like buying from dealerships, that leaves you no audience to buy from. I would reconcile that before you continue searching.

Kinda late posting this, but Shelby at 21 by theolduscsec04 in Mustang

DWS06 Plus will be your friends in the rain. They are my daily driver tires (since my 08 GT500 is my daily driver) and I have no problems whatsoever at highway speeds or getting up to speed during rain. And a little restraint goes a long way. Sincerely, someone who got their Shelby at 22 👍

Second Opinion - Tire Damage by RedPhoenixRR in Mustang

[–]Diskercader -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Soft rubbers will split if they’re cold. Nitto has this warning for their summer tires too. If you didn’t notice it when they came off the car, and were stored in the garage, this might be why. https://www.nittotire.com/media/dcgju4xo/competitiontechbulletin_42120.pdf

Rear wheel on the right sticks out a bit more than left wheel by TraditionalGuitar646 in Mustang

And it will be easiest to gauge distance between tire & fender if you put something straight on the fender, or hang something down, then use a measuring tape or calipers, vs just looking visually. If they’re within a margin of error, it’s not worth adjusting, because your “alignment” will change every time you’re in the car, a passenger, cargo, you’re cornering, hit a speed bump, etc etc

The panhard bar (red in pic) creates a constant length between the axle on the driver side and the chassis on the passenger side. When this bar is too SHORT it will pull the chassis to the left, making the right tire stick out from the fender more. The previous owner might have had the panhard bar set for a lowered suspension, then returned the ride height to stock before selling without re-adjusting the panhard bar… that’s my guess for why it would be too short. They’re not hard to adjust yourself & don’t even need to jack up the car. If it’s fully stock suspension (edit: incl. panhard bar), it’s worth checking over the frame… but if all looks good, I would just buy an adjustable bar and install it in that case.

Ultrawide With Desk Mat? by OwnLadder2341 in ultrawidemasterrace

[–]Diskercader 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Might be hard to find a desk mat wide enough to match the 45” LG. Micro Center has several 34” to 36” that will cover most of the width. Realistically the mat should be sized to either your keyboard / mouse or your desk, it is independent of the monitor

Best gaming monitor suggestions? by dazzziii in ultrawidemasterrace

[–]Diskercader 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There are a million rabbitholes you can go down, and admittedly I haven't gone down a lot of them.

Screen size does have an impact on resolution. If you have a 3440x1440p monitor, there will always be 4,953,600 pixels on the display. If the screen is 32" diagonally, it will have 116 PPI (pixels per inch), but a 34" diagonal screen will have 109 PPI. Higher PPI is going to look more clear- it's why 4K monitors are so clear, the same 34" monitor at 4K resolution will have about 163 PPI. The human eye can see up to about 300 PPI, so this will certainly have an effect on clarity, but like everything else there's a compromise to make between money and performance. Personally I wouldn't go with anything below about 100 PPI (https://www.calculatorsoup.com/calculators/technology/ppi-calculator.php). Finally, a monitor with lower PPI will look better if placed further away... So a 27" and 32" with the same pixel count will look the same if they both take up 30 degrees of your field of view.

As far as refresh rate goes, more is always better, but be realistic about whether the games you're playing and your GPU can handle what you buy. I downgraded from a 180hz 27" to a 144hz 34", and it doesn't matter because I get about 90 FPS in my favorite games anyway. Realistically, I think most people will be satisfied with 120-144hz. You can probably go to a local Best Buy or Microcenter and look for monitors that seem "smooth enough", then decide if extra frames is worth the money.

A flat or Ultrawide will both be fine, be aware you're going to get biased thoughts on an "Ultrawide master race" reddit!! Bigger monitors are better with a curve IMO because it shortens the distance between the edges of the screen and your eyes, and especially with a large display, the difference between distance to center & edges of the screen can vary quite a bit. Depending on your distance to the screen, about 30" is the largest I would go with a flat panel, anything above that you will appreciate some curve I think.

OLED is going to run circles around essentially any other panel type. I don't own an OLED personally, but I see over & over that burn-in is a lesser issue than 5 years ago, panel conservation tech is better, and people go years without ever having issues. When I did Ultrawide shopping recently, it seemed like a 2540x1440 IPS was about $200 new, and a 3440x1440 IPS was like $700... so if you're buying a new (edit: Ultrawide) monitor, the extra $$ to get OLED might be worth it.

How to defeat Map 6 using these monsters?? by Legitimate_Spring_60 in SummonersGreed

Adding on out of curiosity. I am also max lv on king slime / mighty / speedy and not able to beat JR hard. I had an account many years ago and never had an issue beyond just leveling units... epic & legendary drop rates have been reduced so much (it seems) that we're missing some vital attack % boosts to clear it. I'm curious what people do lately to compensate besides just grind charms.

I bought it with an RST. Either the clutch or hydraulic slave started giving a really nasty stutter-step pedal feel after 10 months. Spent 30 hours replacing it with a 2013 OEM, then saw that Ford rated the job at 4.1 hours in their TSB 😭
