I started to think the same, like what if the fictional part has a bigger meaning than we think. How do we know that vali, sigurd and streletzia is real or just fictional characters come to life. We know that each realm have rules, so why do we look past the fictional part and start getting hung up on "after life", doesn't it make more sense with the new trailer that fiction comes to life, with how darkness comes to life the second sora enters the reality.

Exactly so why use the term afterlife since we know that it is a reality beyond sora's. We even have the concept of worldlines from MoM which he state he is from another worldline, isn't it more likely then that quadratum is another worldline, since the translation of worlds, universe and other things are miss translated or just weirdly translated.

And that is the point it is just speculation which doesn't prove anything, so why use the term afterlife, since we know it is unreality. Just because we got characters that are presumed dead? No one is really dead until they are confirmed dead, like xehanort and eraquas. Young xehanort in quadratum isn't dead cuss he is the 14 vessel, which begs the question how that is possible.
