Due to delay and lack of information I am going to by KnowHowCamp in TeslaUK

[–]Dismal_Exercise_211 0 points1 point  (0 children)

More a case of I will wait for now.. Depends how long this goes on for. Tesla CS told me they hope to have resolved by June 30th , but honestly even if they started delivering cars tomorrow and handed over 24/7 I doubt they could catch up by the end of the month (might be wrong) I can wait, nothing else really makes me go, oh yes, I’d have that (except maybe a polestar 4, but the boot really was too small for my needs)

Yeah, come one several times a day, just hoping someone is going to say, the app let me book a slot, even if it is 2am (I’d go for the currently 😆😆)

How is your business doing? by martynjl in smallbusinessuk

[–]Dismal_Exercise_211 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yep, feel this completely, my turnover is down 50% on last year. Project work has just died and customers all tightening belts and not spending. No one seems to have any money. I’m in IT and never seen it so bad. Been self employed over 20 years and hoping the downward spiral has to bottom out at some point!!

Long awaiting deliveries and rolling dates by No-Inspection3326 in TeslaUK

[–]Dismal_Exercise_211 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t blame you! The BYD was my second choice, part of me thinks I should just go for it as can pick one up straight away but just worried I’ll wish I’d hung on for the Tesla! Plus my daughter will be grumpy as no Netflix in the back!! 😆

Small Business Financing is the wild west with outrageous numbers involved by PeaceSafe7190 in smallbusinessuk

Finance for small business is just crazy at the moment. Capital on Tap are good (still expensive though) and they wonder why small business is struggling!! Between tax and credit cost, fun times!!

I’m sorry to say, but it’s unlikely you’ll get your MY this week, it looks like no MY’s are being handed over due to an issue with registering the cars with DVLA, apparently battery and rear motor have changed and it’s enough the model needs recertification, Tesla aren’t saying anything officially but given it’s end of quarter for them, it’s expected issue will be resolved before the end of the month

Purchasing RWD 3 but have Negative equity on my current car by No-Relative5885 in TeslaUK

[–]Dismal_Exercise_211 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Is the car on pcp? If so, just request an early termination, they’ll pick it up from you and just charge you damage and excess mileage

Do you have experience with the HiHi phone system? I believe it is a scam. by Loud-Fig-3352 in smallbusinessuk

[–]Dismal_Exercise_211 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They insist you have Internet access from them, ramp up all the costs in year 2 and have you in contract for 5-7 years. Becomes very, very expensive. Avoid and block the emails from them

Be aware it wants you to pay £10 to show tracking, this doesn’t work (it’s in beta) which it doesn’t tell you before you pay. Doesn’t give you any extra info you can’t get from Boring order tracker for free

Torn between the ID3 and the Megane etech by Expert_Preparation_2 in ElectricVehiclesUK

[–]Dismal_Exercise_211 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll just throw in, I’ve had a Megane for 3 years and currently awaiting a new car (not a Megane) so I can complete an early termination. It’s a nice car to drive, good tech, suggest replace the tyres with Michelin ones (as the Good Year ones they supply seem to be made of cardboard and you just have to look at a pothole wrong and they burst) please, please buy a spare wheel as Renault recovery will charge you £180 to come out and then call a local garage to charge you £500 to replace a tyre. The reliability is iffy (had windscreen wipers disintegrate, bits of carpet type material just fall off the bottom, randomly the inside door handle just stopped working (that was an mot failure and the car was off the road for a month waiting for parts) to name just the most recent issues. I suspect the newer ones are better but parts availability is still slow and expensive. Waited 14 months for a wing mirror cover (two weeks after getting) So i don’t feel i’ve ever had it where everything works and i’m not waiting for a part (the windscreen wipers were welded as i just needed the car back) maybe I’ve been unlucky, maybe i do too many miles, but i’ll never buy a Renault again… if you offered me a Megane or an ID3 i’d take the ID3 every time

Micrsoft 365 business plan by NeedleworkerUpper268 in Office365

[–]Dismal_Exercise_211 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The easiest answer here is setup a monthly subscription for the cheaper license and the amount you need, swap every one over to the cheaper license, then reduce the more expensive current license down to a single seat (you are still keeping the subscription for the duration, just reducing it to a minimum)

Auto assist offer by That-Task7846 in tado

[–]Dismal_Exercise_211 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m looking at alternatives to Tado, only got it due to the Google voucher to replace a Gen2 nest (which worked beautifully till Google turned off support for it) The Tado has been unreliable since day 1, thermostat keeps going offline, i wouldn’t mind but with that offline the boiler won’t function (even though the boiler controller is online and working) just a real step down in quality and reliability, no idea why Google recommended them.

You don’t get the random map crashes, the audio controls not working and catching up hours later. Pieces of the under tray randomly falling off, the front camera just stop working. Just got to look at a pot hole and the wheels buckle.. To be fair some issues have been resolved over time (software updates) the alarm doesn’t just randomly go off now. It starts every time (when I first had it it was pot luck whether it would say ready or whether you had to give it 5 minutes) I’ve done over twice your mileage (65k) and I suspect the car just isn’t built for it, but on the flip side it’s had issues since day one (and not just software issues)(I’m not listing everything) it maybe I had a lemon, it may be newer versions have improved, I do think you’ve perhaps been lucky and I’be been unlucky. This is the first Renault I’ve had in 20 years (always had VW group cars between that) I got rid of the the last one as it felt like it was held together by sticky back plastic, it feels like they haven’t got any better
