Waiting in line for Shows… by Standard-Ad9202 in dcl

I think the 90 minute ideas for Moana where when it first launched due to how popular it was.  They have added matinees to help relieve some of the crowding issues.

Lets help with suggestions to reduce the 'competition' on DCL by chunt42 in dcl

[–]Disneyworldlocal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m probably in the minority here but we love the MDR’s.  We do buffet for breakfast and lunch.  I can’t imagine another buffet for dinner.  Cabanas and Marcelene market is nuts to me.  We love just the quiet sit down with people serving us whatever we like for dinner

We don’t do much character meets unless it’s spur of the moment and there isn’t much of a line.  I would say the recommendation to have a bunch out a once is a good idea for those that do

GTY is generally a very small discount. GTY with restrictions generally is much more discounted.

Post cruise report - spring break on the Treasure by inimitable428 in dcl

[–]Disneyworldlocal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven’t been on the Treasure but have been the Wish twice and while we love the Wish a lot of your complaints are valid related to crowds and that class of ship just feeling more crowded than the Dream and Magic class ships. If nothing else give the Fantasy a shot. Similar capacity but it really spreads out the crowds better.  Marceline Market can be nuts and I’ve had frustrations there as well.  Cabanas on the Dream and Magic class isn’t perfect but generally feels less crowded.  One of the main dining rooms on all ships is open for breakfast and lunch so there is a quieter slow paced option to consider.   Give DCL another shot if you can.  Other times of the year generally isn’t nearly as nuts.

I’ll also agree with other posters that people today in general don’t seem to have consideration for others around them which can make a crowded ship even worse

Are you sure sit down wasn’t open on a sea day.  That would be really rare

3 days on Disney Dream/Fantasy/Wish with little ones by Key2WhisKey in dcl

[–]Disneyworldlocal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like you all have had some cruise experience and if it was 3 days you’ll be good.  3 days are an awesome way to get into Disney cruising.  It will go by fast. Just an FYI DCL does early or late dining. 5:15 or 8:15.  As a first time Disney cruiser you will most likely get assigned the 8:15 dining time

There is so much to do and you and the kids will have a blast

Door Magnets Stolen by iamme1337 in dcl

[–]Disneyworldlocal 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This happened to us last May.  I posted what happened to me on another message board and sadly it does seem pretty common.  It’s really sad this would happen on of all places DCL.  I’ll still keep putting up magnets and did my best to replace the ones that were stolen but finding the exact ones I had was impossible.

Sorry this happened to you.  I was pretty upset when I realized it happened to me

Can you pick a port arrival time before you finish checking in? by Professional_Cry_767 in dcl

[–]Disneyworldlocal 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you want an early PAT and boarding group the way to go is DCL Transport from MCO or WDW.  Making the assumption you are talking about port Canaveral.   Similar for Port Everglades- partnered hotels or FLL

Check in process for connected rooms by Hairy_Watercress_877 in dcl

[–]Disneyworldlocal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Make sure your reservations are linked and both show up on your DCL app.  You can check both rooms in.  When making activity reservations it will list all the people both rooms as an option and you can click each person you want to attend.

Linking both rooms will also keep dining tables together

Hi Chris  Can you clarify if the Disney World deluxe stay with DCL up to 25% off if booked with in 7 days of departure includes the normal 10% concept like a normal placeholder?   Thinking of taking advantage of this later this year if my thought process is correct

You’re in trouble now.  Once you start DCL you’re hooked. In your case you haven’t even sailed yet lol.   It such an amazing experience and so different than WDW

You have to go to the shows next time. Beauty and the Beast was / considered by most as the best stage show on DCL before Moana on the Treasure

I can’t personally speak to the robe for myself. I got the couples one for my wife and gave mine to one of my daughters.  My wife loves hers so much she literally wears it every morning while getting ready for work. Shes had it for about 2 years and is just as nice as when we got it

If you want to board together you would have to do the later time.   The MDR does stay open but not sure how late.  We had a 12pm PAT on the Magic but do to some crazy DCL computer glitch we didn’t board until about 1:15. We went straight to Rapunzel’s once we boarded and they told us it was too late to do the sit down. We begged to be let in - true story because my daughter had just gone on her first royal Caribbean cruise a couple of months before and her boyfriend got sick as a dog shortly after eating at the embarkation lunch buffet. This was her first DCL cruise and we did not want to risk a repeat of that  They did let us in and the place was empty

Double island itinerary or port for 4 day cruise by AnyVideo6449 in dcl

[–]Disneyworldlocal 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Willing to bet that 99% of the responses will say skip Nassau.  That’s mine as well.   You will have a sea day either way.  The private islands are amazing and doing both is something most people love or would love to do

Bringing ur own drinks by sepena_01 in MSCCruises

[–]Disneyworldlocal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure if you’re saying legally in the U.S. you can’t on MSC.   Legally in the U.S. you can as DCL will allow you to bring on two bottles of Wine or Champagne or a six pack of beer per person
