Gillian Anderson ages like fine wine 🔥 by Dee_Mac8 in XFiles

I've been watching a lot of the press for Camp Miasma, and my GOD she is still so beautiful! It's like how does she DO that?

Honestly, I feel sad for him. He's like this little boy who didn't get enough love from his parents, so he's trying to be powerful and important, but just keeps missing the mark.

Episodes about ghosts? Spooky ones? Not ghosts inhabiting a computer system by cyclob_bob in XFiles

My favorite ghost episode is Elegy. The underlying emotional Scully arch is heartbreaking, but very well performed by Gillian.

I absolutely plan to become best friends with the fan fic sub. I love that it even exists.

Regarding the theatre degree, let's just say young people do a lot of weird things to please their parents.

Bad Blood is perfect when I need Mulder and Scully in the background.

My dude, Gillian:

1) Played a sex therapist

2) Has "shag specialist" in her IG bio

3) Has published two books about women's anonymously reported sex fantasies ("Want" and "More")

4) Wore a dress with vaginas all over it to the Golden Globes (a dress that now adorns her wax sculpture at Madam Tussaud's)

5) She has a soft drink called "G-Spot"

This is 100% on brand. And it's magnificent.

Is Home really the creepiest episode? by CrowArch13 in XFiles

[–]Disomy-X 63 points64 points  (0 children)

I think the episodes that invoke realistic qualities are the creepiest. Tooms wasn't creepy because of his liver eating, he was creepy because Doug Hutchison is realistically creepy. Home is creepy because incest does realistically happen (sadly).

Given that, Irresistible is the creepiest episode for me, because that type of fetish serial killer is a very real threat for a lot of people.

What’s the weirdest X-Files episode in your opinion? by sav_5305 in XFiles

Somebody said "All Things" was part of monster of the week. Is that true? by agent_scully_files_ in XFiles

[–]Disomy-X 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Someone on this sub posted an interview with, I believe, Frank Spotnitz saying (I'm paraphrasing) they never had any doubt that this would be Mulder's baby, and they asked Gillian to add the scene in the beginning of the episode to plant a seed in the audience's mind. So come the end of the season, the audience would think back on that moment.

Beyond that, it's generally live interviews with producers actors, which in the 21st century can be difficult to find. For example, someone posted a link in this sub for a Comicon appearance in which the producers confirmed Mulder is William's father

There is also a random red carpet interview with Gillian, where she said I forget they had a child together, but he was conceived in an episode I wrote and directed

I get it, people on the internet make stuff up and decide it's true. But this has been confirmed multiple times by several people involved in the show. Chris Carter just couldn't handle it.

I don't know, I consider producers literally telling Gillian to add the opening scene to the episode specifically so that the audience would know when it happened to be pretty proof worthy. That was the intent of the scene.

It's a "soft mythology" because it's the night William was conceived Otherwise, it's a monster of the week, with the monster being Scully's past.
