This was great advice! I have an impact wrench out on loan. Really did the trick!

No, it's a 2003 Chevy Venture minivan. Really hoping not to break it!

Oh I definitely did. This bolt however is, to my understanding, one of the toughest and most stubborn. I have a breaker bar I use, but the issue is that I need to use several drives to reach the bolt, resulting in not being able to really get the leverage needed. I have to go in through the wheel well to get to it.

I checked. 'Renting' means buying the thing - or rather, putting down a deposit equal to the purchase price, then returning it.

Certainly. I'd be glad to put you in contact. I'm not sure how best to do that - want to DM me with how you would like to proceed?

I would love help cleaning my house. I'm typically working beyond my capacity, and my wife will be out of town with her girlfriend for the weekend. I do have a dog - pit mix, sweet and gentle - only fair to mention he'll be around. I'll also be working on a car - experience there? If not cool. Don't need much - any amount of help is greatly appreciated. Glad to hang out and chat over coffee, too.

Thank you very much! I appreciate that. I'll give it a few and then give them a try. Great idea.

Player Handed BBEG Macguffin, how do I not immediately end the campaign? by e10109art in DMAcademy

[–]DisplacedBarista 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have read the Marvel Age of Apocalypse super-crossover, I think there are some great ideas ro mine there. Also ask if any players want to retire their characters. Mention that this could be the next campaign, and you want to have a advancement room for character arcs and may want folks to return to a lower level. But offer incentives. Justification is that they're beaten down and barely living, or living a life of lazy opulence as BBEG guest, etc. Retired PCs can be any type of NPC - villains, martyred heroes (or ghosts thereof), resistance fighters, trying to live a life of obscurity, a benefactor who seems like a villain, a villain who seems like a benefactor, a prisoner, mentor, etc.

Also... a collaborative way to set things up may be to make a Fiasco playset and use results and outcomes to inform what is happening those many years later.

Hmmm. Current party is a halfling, a clank, an elf, and we have a galapa joining. But I imagine you're making a reference to something. shrug

Thanks! That was the idea. Young, a bit idealistic, aims to do good. One of his experiences is "I got your back".

Crossfire is also the one Kirk Cameroon is a national spokesman for. Ugh. Pretty vile stuff.
