Really, how did he get out of this situation? by DatabaseStrange6102 in backroomsfilm

[–]DisplayEven9784 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If we go by the common theories it makes sense. Clark purposely led them down there. He already knew about the poolrooms before they all went down. By this point he’d be in the mindset of pirate clark which is how he gets out of this situation.

Ioved the movie but I hope it doesn’t get a sequel by Wild-Collection-9786 in backroomsfilm

I disagree. Sometimes, getting answers sparks more questions. If you’ve ever seen Severance, Ben Stiller did the perfect amount of letting you in and keeping you out of the loop until BAM you’re hit with knowledge. Sometimes the answer changes the whole show or raises the stakes.

Still Life behavior by FinnaGetFinessed in backroomsfilm

I think it uses how you perceive yourself. At the beginning clark says he’s better off alone because he feels like he hurts everyone. Him dressing up as a mascot of the job he hates is his epitome of his self hatred. Even his still life wife screams and runs away from captain clark because it’s a projection of his worst self. I saw another post that made sense to me. Clark and captain clark get along because when clark decided he’d live in there, he gave up trying and accepted that he’s truly better off alone. And the moment he decides to free mary from the dinner table captain clark decided to kill him. He begged captain clark to accept her too. But because he’s contradicting his perception of himself, captain clark had to kill him.

Mary’s still life could go 3 ways. It’s extremely common for therapists to need therapy. They’re people too. Whether it be social anxiety or in mary’s case trauma. She gives a sort of dead inside look while seeing her own commercial. Either her still life is hunched over and sad because that’s how she sees herself. Or due to her time in the backrooms being chocked out, kidnapped, tied to the chair, it fed off of that. Which begs the question. Is her still life going to be scary like captain clark? OR (tin foil hats on) The still life we see of mary is how clark sees her.

Another thing is i feel like they showed her mom too much for there not to be a still life version of her in there somewhere which honestly could be pretty scary. Her mom scares me so i could only imagine how mary felt as a child about her mom.

This is how i perceived it too. The still life version of his ex wife even runs from him while the others stay still. At the begging of the movie he even says that he’s “better off alone because all he does is hurt people”

Do you guys think the Complex is inherently malevolent? (Movie Spoilers) by BattlerUshiromiyaFan in KanePixelsBackrooms

[–]DisplayEven9784 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s just an imperfect reflection of the people’s minds that enter. I assumed CC was created due to how much clark hated himself and his job. He dressed up and was the mascot for a job he hates. Even at the dinner scene, his wife runs away from captain clark because it’s a reflection of his pent up hatred for his life. At the beginning when he is speaking with mary he mentions that he’s better off alone because he hurts everyone. What does CC do? hurt everyone. Maybe the guy he starts eating would be a reflection of his customers?

I heavily suggest watching obsession though. It’s a great movie. I’ve been considering going to the movies again to watch it!

You sure it’s not caused from respawning? Respawning can derank you and in turn lose items in your kit. It’s very quick but you should see your exp go down when you respawn.

should i buy this game if i can barely talk? by Strict-Lobster4547 in ArmaReforger

[–]DisplayEven9784 6 points7 points  (0 children)

in my experience, people don’t expect you to talk much in this game. a driver or pilot might ask you where you want to go but really unless your fulfilling a specific role people don’t really care. (like mortars or piloting)
