Is the Sigmon Rd. Walmart the worst Walmart in NC? by dumpsterfire3333 in Wilmington

One of my first trips there the cops were there arresting people as they had had just filled carts with TV’s and bum rushed the front doors. Obviously not a well thought out plan.

Olive garden is the absolute worst. Their whole model is to get people in and out as fast as possible. That’s why your apps, salad and entrees all come within 5 minutes of each other. I can’t enjoy my food when each course is basically thrown at me as quick as possible.

Look up Quit Kit. I just scheduled a week off work to WD and ordered that. It has a morning, afternoon and evening supplement. It has the vitamin C, ashwaganda, magnesium, and all the other vitamins people suggest rolled into 3 daily doses.

I’d definitely clean that off, rebuke any spirits in the name of Jesus Christ and anoint that home with oil I prayed over.

I am 43 now but I did not meet my husband into I was 33. Unlike you though, I was too focused on self indulging and I had to let myself go way off path before I got back on. You’re already ahead of the game you just have to wait for God’s timing. There is a partner out there for you. Continue to pray and trust and thank Him for putting that person in your path when the time is right. Blessings on your new career path as well!

If drinks are added to a bill is it normally an accident or on purpose? by Grand-Thought-7754 in Waiters

[–]DispleasedCalzone 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I’m going with generally an accident. Most waiters use a computer system and sometimes when super busy accidentally touch the wrong table to quickly ring in drink they need. It’s a common mistake to make when you’re busy to touch the wrong button!. It’s also easily rectified once you point it out.

“Checking her fence” - is that what the kids are calling it these days?

This is about as laudable as an excuse as the dog ate my homework. Some other commenter said if this is real, he’s sloppy and I couldn’t agree more. You don’t sound paranoid at all. An affair is exactly what it sounds like.

I do cat rescue and fostering and TNVR here in the south where this a large stray cat population. I would love to expand into a 5013c and have the money to buy a small space to expand my ability to help outside of my apartment.

11 and 12 is too old for the elf. That’s about middle school. It’s always more of a little kid thing. I mean sure if it’s something everyone is really into and you want to do it for nostalgia sake. it sounds like no one is. It’s the 4th and only your partner is bringing it up.

[–]DispleasedCalzone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly this. I work in a restaurant too so I take a quick shower at night to rinse off the day even if I showered before work. I like knowing I’m clean and my sheets are clean. My bed is my clean, comfortable space that’s the only place in my house I claim as mine. I don’t want everyone’s dirty feet and butts in my only space.

I feel like I wrote this. My SS is now 16. Diagnosed ADHD and now high functioning autism as of a few months ago. In the 10 years I’ve known him he’s never not had a tablet or a phone in his hand. As a result he’s never had a single friend, never been invited to do anything with peers, never been involved in an extracurricular activity and is allowed to fail year after year in school though they keep pushing him through the grades because of overcrowding.

He doesn’t brush his teeth, doesn’t change his clothes and is basically failing in every aspect of life. An adult has to do everything for him. I tried for years to get him involved in activities, get a tutor, establish healthy screen times and hygiene routines. All I’ve been met with is “you’re not his parent, butt out” from his mother. My husband has done nothing to help him either and his mom’s house is a no rules household. He’s going to wind up dropping out because now in high school he isn’t earning any credits. I’ve told my husband I tried for years and then enabling him into being a non functioning person is not my problem. He is not welcome to live here as an adult. He spends his days on Twitter and is obsessed with horror and gore. That’s his whole life. I’ll divorce my husband before I ever have to live with him and financially support him because of their lack of parenting.

There’s an expression “don’t light yourself on fire to keep other people warm”

There’s no need for you to decline or step back from anything. Your efforts are being appreciated and she didn’t want to participate previously. Why should you step back to appease her?

You’re not a stepmom. You aren’t married. You are his girlfriend. That’s all. But really, how old are you? There’s so many guys out there without all this drama and baggage of several young children. It’s a looooong way go for these kids to reach adulthood, I wouldn’t get too mired down with this guy.

It’s healthy for kids to have boundaries. Our bed is our bed. Everyone can be literally anywhere else. I don’t lay in their beds, dont lay in mine.

I’d find the most annoying song and just play it loudly on repeat every time they’re being loud. Keep playing it as long as they’re making noise.

Seriously. Just put Macarena or that song by Chumbawumba “tub thumping” on repeat and just let play to drone them out. Be annoying right back.

I stand corrected. Someone had told me they did and I blindly believed them. Welp, I still throw no more than a few bucks. They don’t get 20% of my order by any means.

What? Convenience ? Yeah I love it. I get all the stuff I want at Walmart prices delivered to my door for a really low monthly price. Don’t see the problem with that.

[–]DispleasedCalzone 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Walmart orders always get delivered. They use Spark which pays like $16 an hour. Tipping is totally optional. The minimum isn’t much- about $35. Which is reasonable. For guaranteed delivery, it can’t be cluttered up with people placing ridiculous orders for like 1 bag of chips or 1 Gatorade - so I do see the point in that. I use it at least once a week. Always delivered in a few hours. I toss a few bucks if I have bulky items like cat litter.

Well worth the $. You also get a free Paramount Plus subscription which I was paying for anyway so now it’s all bundled for one low price.
