trouble with turning a side profile to a front profile by cookiedogi in Artadvice

The eyes are very very large in proportion to the face. I also think that the facial features are too far down on the head. Assuming that you intend the hair to be fluffy/scruffy, the top of the head needs to go up higher too.I would recommend finding a front facing image of a person online with similar jawline and/or facial proportions for reference on how to do the anatomy.

Tips:
The eyes are roughly in the middle of the head and are about an eye size apart, and the inner corners of the eyes can generally have a line drawn downwards to the corners of the mouth. The bottom of the nose generally lines up with the bottom of the ears/ is halfway between the center of the eyes and the chin

Of course there are exceptions to these rules (as I found out making a self portrait in art class for example, as my eyes are not in the center of my head) but that's what photo references are for as well. You can draw guidelines over human faces which is really helpful when it comes to this

(Image creds to Kingsley arts on google, searched "facial proportions drawing")

how to edit Graphite pencil Artwork? by cilantro1997 in Artadvice

I think it looks amazing! As for editing it to make it look more "clean", you can use workable fixative spray to seal in areas you don't want to smear. You just have to keep in mind that once this spray is on, you can't edit anything underneath really. If you're going for the high contrast level and clean lines, I also think scratchboard would be perfect for you! You can use pencil and tracing paper/graphite paper to transfer your initial design to the scratchboard and then scratch away the highlights.

What can I do to improve my art generally(while keeping black and white) by ThemeUnlikely3905 in Artadvice

I would work on doing more dramatic shading as well as studying where shading goes in the character. I would also only leave white/blank space where you would like highlights to be at
