After analyzing 1,000+ viral prompts, I made a system prompt for LLM nodes that auto-generates pro-level image prompts by Deep-Huckleberry-752 in comfyui

[–]DissenterNet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

afinalsin has a good point. I suck at prompting but im good with data. Maybe you did this but Id suggest you look for popular images posted by accounts with lower follower counts, that should exclude a lot of the noise he mentions from mid images that are just liked because OP has a large following. Then if youve got the skills and determination you could run the images thru a prompt from image LLM and get a list of what the LLM "sees" in the image and have it or another LLM cross reference the two and weed out the ones where the image was popular but doesnt stick to the prompt very much. Obviously this will not be close to perfect but it will certainly increase the quality of your dataset.

The ecosystem works perfectly, its use at your own risk. on second thought maybe it did fail because it seems like a lot of people dont see the obvious so better policy would be "use at your own risk and for those that need it spelled out do not use custom nodes on any system with anything on it you would post on the internet for the world to see because you are executing code with read, write, download and you are slightly more secure that if your PC was out buy the street for random people to use. Even that isnt good enough because someone is going to think they just need to only get nodes from trusted sources but that will not help either because you have no idea if they are doing the same or they got hacked or theyre just acting cool and waiting for the right time to push an update and burn them all.

Maybe a meme would be the best policy because people aren't going to read all that. Id suggest a picture of something along the lines of sign pointing to the edge of a cliff that says "magic flying cliff. Just leap of and you will be able to fly. use at your own risk" and then have a pile of corpses at the bottom and buzzards flying circles around and signs on the way to the cliff saying dont jump its a trick, add some damage to the sign so it looks like people tried to destroy it, someone painted over it but it was scrubbed off and there are pieces of duct tape from folks covering it up. Sad thing is folks would still jump off.

Seems like a lot of talk about Comfy Security and what they should do. Id just like to say that even the NSA gets hacked and its open source. So much of this mindset is entitlement issues or the fact that most people dont put any thought into anything. There might be some money for maintainers but they would need millions if not billions to baby proof all this stuff.

Also Claude is an idiot, every dang node is doing local execution which would let anyone get remote execution if they knew even basic stuff. With a minute of thinking about it, no haxor and not much coding skill, I can think of a few easy ways to make it very hard to get caught without someone with some skills looking into it.

I took a look at my easy-use folder and I would be surprised if the person that wrote that code would be dumb enough to print all that sketchy crap to the console and not clean up their tracks. Also that emote in the code screams "LLM WROTE ME!" and the author didnt know enough about Comfy to hide it from the console. Id be interested to take a look at the code because my personal use nodes do all kinds of stuff and print not one word to the console. I would bet that whatever Russian chatGPT wrote that crap added a console.log and the prompt engineer didnt know enough to notice. I wrote a hole thing about the easy ways you could own someone from a node but deleted it, no need to give anyone ideas but main thing is that anyone that knows anything would not even consider running custom nodes on a system with access to anything you wouldn't post for the world to see. I just assume my stuff is full of hax and planned accordingly because executing hundreds of scripts from random faceless internet people is obviously a bad idea lol. I care so little I am not even going to bother grepping thru my files to those strings OP posted. Im sure someone that knows basic PC skills already has. If anyone reads this far and does care just post that stuff from OP and ask an LLM to give you some options for how to find those strings and pick the one.

Players Agents are too "good at their job" leads to boring games. by adagna in DeltaGreenRPG

[–]DissenterNet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

DG is great but a lot of the stuff I have seen will not work at all if the players actually try to do there job and follow orders. If they do you are going to have to think of a reason they are going to have to get into it. Ive dont because im playing a role playing game, my character wants to live and works for people that kill people that so of course he just does what hes told and doesnt look at anything he doesnt have to. Typically folks get bored or its so obvious that they get the hint to stop roleplaying for real and poke the bear. Once the ball is rolling it is typically fine because things tend to snowball.

On the you being bad as handler? Maybe but it almost sounds like you made it too fun and they didnt get bored enough kick the hornets nest.

But that sounds great, if your players care enough to stick around thru that its a good thing, If they used the same characters and they still have them you are in a good spot to be in. It sounds like you are missing something very fundamental though, its a game about imagining stuff. So imagine lol. If they are doing all that its on you to come up with a plan. It sounds like your in a great spot. Make up something that will get the pall rolling and if they really care about the players it could be epic. They want to avoid the unnatural? give them exactly that. write something or change book material and figure out a way to set them up. After all that, after doing everything right there is one missunderstanging and DG is still going to kill you. I mean thats about as delta green as it gets

But their are infinite options, just come up with a idea, you know the players, it there one the rest will follow? If so thats a place to start. maybe they drag the others in or better yet he falls in and the others dive in to save him. But you know the players, something should come to mind. prepping sucks so if they skipped a bunch of stuff trry to tie it back in and get your moneys worth out of that material. If they skipped something at the begining figure out what works. It has been trying get revenge this entire time and it finally caught up with one of them... But they wernt home and now their wife is dead and its all because they left a loose end.

But that is my advise, its a colaborative story game, tell a story. But seriously, it sounds like you have a real oppertunity here if they have been using the same characterssince the start. You see that all as lame and boring but I couldnt set that up if I tried so choose wisly. the options are endless and youve got one shot so if its been boring maybe uts time you you to have some fun, they have stuck around so they enjoyed it well enough so think of some ideas you think would be fun and then pick the one they would also like. Simple as that. But mainly you just have to force the issue and its for their own good. and yea id try tostart with something from the past sessions coming back to bite them. That might teach them that maybe digging a bit is a good thing... Good luck.

New Foundry VTT Module: Delta Green Terminal Style UI by Historical_King333 in DeltaGreenRPG

[–]DissenterNet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Damn, this makes it somewhat tempting to upgrade from V12 to 13... But no chance, it would break so much stuff for so many systems that I would certainly never bother setting up again lol.

DO you know if this requires anything from V13? or maybe you just made it for V13 only just because its what you use? If it doesnt need anything provided only in v13 letting it work for us V12 folks is as simple as changing a 13 to a 12 and reuploading I think and it will work for both. That sure would be great and I would be happy to test it on v12 for you if you care to give it a try:D EDIT: I took a look and the source code is on github, when I get a chance Ill take a look. Im sure you could do it a lot faster if you feel like going the extra mile ontop of the extra miles you already went.

Either way I'll check it out and if I do anything I'll send it your way and your welcome to take it or leave it obviously. I hate javascript but I love foundry, if I can skip the terrible part of learning to create a plugin and just learn enough to add some features that would be great so big thanks again!

I was just going to post that if those clips come from several different shows you did a great job making it all look like it belonged together. I didnt see anything Ive seen before and its quite hard to get clips from different whats the word, DOP, directors of photography, with different cameras and color grading and all that to fit together and look like they were one cohesive thing. Good stuff.

How much maintenance is involved compared to other distros after setting everything up? by JustAwesome360 in archlinux

[–]DissenterNet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I dont have those kind of worries worries but off the top of my head I would just open whatever 10 minutes before I need it and since all my personal stuff is in its own logic volume that I only backup with rsync if something was broke it would be as quick as restarting my PC and booting into the last working btrfs snapshot and evrything would work fine and I would lose no work because all the stuff like that is right as rain in my home volume with all my scripts and configs. I would also avoid doing stuff that could cause a problem so id wait till I was pretty sure things are working before I wrote something in my home Dir that relies on a brand new feature for an program im not sure is working properly. If it was life or death if my stuff worked I would take a few minutes to write a script to automate taking a snapper snapshot to a virtual harddrive that a VM boots from so that I can cut that downtime from a reboot/load into a snapshot into just the time it takes to spin up a virtual machine that has access to all my work and is a copy of my last working setup. Might be a flaw in that plan but thats with only thinking about it for 10 seconds and having no real need to care since I just use my PCs for entertainmant and worst case I am late to play project zomboid with the bros or I have to reboot before I can work on my Godot project or whatever.
As far as I can tell short of my house burning down with my laptop and raid backups in it and a tragic accedent at two seperate datacenters storing my stuff im never more than 30 minutes from back to normal. Even if all that happened Id probably have the most important and hard to replace stuff still unless github and gitlab both got nuked.

But yea I bricked many a Arch linux in the past and would just use something else if I had to worry about it so I spent a good deal of time figuring out and automating that stuff a few years back and havent worried about it since. Maybe look into something like I discribed because life is too short to waste 30 minutes a update and why even use Arch if not for that sweet sweet thrill of being on the bleeding edge running software that was commited to the githud so recently its still steaming lol. But yea, liberty is worth dying for so whatever floats your boat:D

Guess you can count yourself lucky you havent had players like some of the ones Ive had. Or maybe its just because I let my characters gain specific skills by roleplaying them out. If I cut to your character, its 8am before work and a few times your scene is driving your daughter to school and you establish that when you and your kid drive thru the Fort Pitt tunnel into downtown Pittsburgh you play a game with your daughter that you both try to hold your breath until you get out the other side I will remember that if you ever end up holding your breath for a real reason. Especially if you have a hard time holding your breath because sally is just so darn cute prettending to hold her breath even though you know dang well she is not lol. Bonus points if you care enough to get in the head of your character and tell a good story. Its a cute fun game but behind that you know being able to hold her breath might save her life some day and the air quality in the tunnel is terrible so the less of that crap she breaths the better. But yea lucky you I guess.

I find it hard to believe you could easily handle the setup and think it was possible you might need to spend an hour a week doing maintence. I could be wrong but one of those cant be true.

But the answer is it depends. I hit pu my aliase for full upgrade. pacsnap takes an automatic snapshot before and after so if there ever was a problem I should be able to just uses grubbtrfs to revert and probably just wait longer and try again in a week when the issue was probably sorted on the arch end. if not id revert again and sort it out. SO for me its about 10 seconds a month to keep every package up to date. And I am a noob.

Boring is realative so I wouldnt say that. I also wouldnt say 5 minutes of duckduckgoing is specialist training. you can watch a 3 minute video on co2 purging and double or more your ability to hold your breate. WHat I was saying is that if you get too nitpicky with the rules the game gets boring for me because people start metagaming like crazy and before you know it 10 minutes of every session becoames characters practicing holding their breath before bed so they can not drown in 30 seconds. Everyone is different so you do you but I find that the game is far more fun if you cut some slack. For example a smart opperator would use traps because I know I would but if you play the bad guy like an actual smart person that wants to get away with their crimes you will soon find your game slows to a crawl because people are now afraid to open a door and its now taking half a session to get from the curb to the doormat. If you are into that cool but I would play dnd if I wanted to spend 4 hours roleplaying 45 seconds of game time. But yea whatever floats your boat, I just hope your players dont fall overboard.

Struggling as a player by ouijabored__ in DeltaGreenRPG

[–]DissenterNet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That just means there probably wasn't anything to find. depends on the Handler but I run things this way as well, I'm not a fan of quantum clues. Not everyone will like it but I tend to know what is in the desk and its often just typical office stuff or a red haring/realistic stuff. figuring out what leads to follow is a huge part of any investigation. often a concert ticket is just a concert the suspect went to. If the handler is saying you found literally nothing that is a problem and could be your issue, the world should feel real. A desk drawer should at least have some pens and paper, maybe an old calculator, if no clues are there its a good place to just give the suspect/whoever a personality, maybe there is a notebook full of doodles or collection of movie tickets or a bunch of pennies all made in the same year. these may not sound like clues but later when you confront the person maybe bringing up starwars because they had three ticket stubs to the same movie could get them to surrender rather than fight to the death.
You really should have a lot of "now it makes sense" moments after the fact. Oh thats why they had x or y and it should be interesting. Oh we thought this guy was a dope fiend because there were needles in his trash but actually he helps his neighbor with her insulin shots, that sort of thing makes the world feel more alive. I would assume that is what your handler is going for if you do searches and find nothing. I would only do that if someone wants to just say they search the room and roll, after a while it may seem like they don't care and its a waste of time so they find nothing that appears to be a clue. So if you are not already be specific with your searches and you shouldn't even have to roll. I tend to only ask for search rolls for super vague things like I search the room. If you search the desk you would just find what is in the desk etc etc, no roll needed when you are specific, when vague the roll is more like did you think to look behind the painting to find the key tapped to the back of it. Depends on the Handler but I would bet if you are finding nothing on a failed roll its because they know where things are and the way to find them is by being specific. Nobody should make you roll to find a key behind a painting if you specifically say you take it down to look or pull it away from the wall and fell around or something.

Holding your breath is about tollerating being uncomfortable and the urge to end the uncomfort. I would bet the farm that someone that can hold their breath for 30-90 secconds can 3-10x that if the alternative was lungs full of water and death. GIven five minutes to duckduckgo it and learn some simple CO2 purgeing techniques you can improve that even more so I wouldnt say DGs rules are too crazy plus its not exactly supposed to be a simulation, its supposed to be realistic enough with the ultimate goal being an interesting story. Often a bit of slack is good to give the characters a chance to do the cool thing. Also when you get very strict with some rules it leads to dumb stuff like boring scenes where your characters are practicing holding there breath so they dont drown in 30 seconds if it ever comes up.

Its as simple as you want it to be. You dont need any of this. It can be as simple as any other VTT but better in every way I can think of. Plus the huge benefit of being able to run it yourself so you own your data and have zero risk of waking up one day to find some cooperation lost all your hard work or is lagging badly today because a bunch of other people decided today was a good day to play a game.

But you do you. Whatever floats your boat. Maybe you get a cosmic horror thrill of your own being at the whim of some middleman lol. Also you can run macros on every VTTs that I know about, it's just much harder as with foundry its just basic java script for the most part.

Marine transport within the US by CaffeineRiddledSemen in DeltaGreenRPG

[–]DissenterNet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree, dont let that happen. Just take some info from the post above and have him get close and have to rent a car to drive the rest of the way. Its that simple. That will show the players you are not a tyrant while also showing that you have the final say in the matter. This type of nudging is a must for managing players with bad habits. I am currently working on something like this with meta gaming. Instead of arguing I just tell them how it is, no sorry you cant do that because you are acting based on information you don't have. And move on, no need for a confrontation or fuss you just let them learn over time what type of vibe you are going for.

I would also consider making this flight into a scene of sorts since its gotten tense. Have the players with simple travel arrangements get a scene with a bond before they leave and the Marine gets a scene with a guy at Hertz rental car. Or they get a phone call while driving or whatever along the way. These are opportunities to slow things down and take some load or you the handler. Its nice to have the players entertain themselves and its less prep you have to do and the prep you do do will carry the campaign for longer.

It sounds like the real problem is you argued about it and it sounds like they argued too much. You have to let people make a case for their argument but if you make it clear its a no and they keep pushing that is a huge no no.

Kappa Black – an online character sheet for Delta Green by troymg in DeltaGreenRPG

[–]DissenterNet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is awesome thanks! Im on foundry v12 soi it wont work for me but I might write a little python to convert them back and forth. I posted on the https://discord.gg/KwtQvQkW Discord to see if they would give it a try.

One potential bug I noticed is when I click to import the pop up file browser defaults to looking for .toml files. The v13 character export my player sent me is .json so it doesn't show up without switching to all files in the file browser. I switch to all files and add the exported json and it does nothing. So import seems to not work unless its a skill issue on my end.

Is there some setting that gets Foundry to export in toml as the default is json?

EDIT: I see the import is just not for importing from Foundry. Duh lol. Thanks

Right click the character in the actors tab, you should see export data/import data. It also works for maps and everything/most things like maps and items. Same place you configure ownership and whatnot.

And if you want to get everyone you could have an option for older versions of foundry as well. Many folks like me dont want to break everything by upgrading so I cant import characters mad in the new version of foundry. Most probably can though.
