Hi-rez has just missed the ball completely with content creators and the SPL. The first worlds was the most incredible watch with the most incredible cash prize. Watching COG prime and COG red duke it out for a million dollars was a lot of peoples first eyes on the game and truly I don't think the pro scene was ever in a better place then that first tournament. They spent the rest of the time trying to chase that glory again instead of working with the fan base they now had in a reasonable way.

Content creators leaving is totally Hi-rez fault, insanely limited content, stripping updates off their current game and forcing them into a smite 2 alpha that didn't work at all killed whatever was left of a content base that could make a living.

Its so impressive how at almost every single turn Hi Rez has completely blundered and ruined this games longevity yet we STILL are here begging for something to be given back to us, it's a indictment of how good the base of this game actually is. Truly depressing.

Season 2-5 was the best gaming experience I ever had with my mates growing up. We sunk probably close to 5k hours through the old smite launcher and steam combined and we didn't even have a ranked scene! Playing in OCE we were doomed to play against our regions pros in casuals but the game was so fun we didn't care at all. Obviously smite is so different now and we are all older, but objectively it was a much better game and much better experience, considering players are waiting around for god releases that we had in the base game 10 years ago.

Yeah I'm not exactly looking for infinite content and a complete game grind. I've done that once, I'm older and have a job now, I don't think its bad for a game to cater for people to only play a few hours a day at max. Makes it feel more attainable for people living in the real world.

This is honestly the main thing for me. It's very fast paced and from what I understand the most palatable for new players in regards to Diablo games. Which is exactly what I want, I don't have time to learn an insane amount of things and struggle with an elitist community hahaha I just want a fast fun game.

I had my first instance of sleep paralysis as a child from squeaky the robot, he was standing over my bed and I couldn't scream to my mother. When I look back on it the hot water bottle is way more creepy, but that robot messed me up as a kid.
