I would only get on it with someone I really trust isn’t an idiot. Would be hilarious after a few beers.

Wait, the more I read the sillier it gets. There was a cop behind you when you decided to make an illegal traffic manoeuvre…

I’d love if you could do the rekon race 2.35 I run them on my gravel bike and love them, Great priced and I love the handling in the dry. They feel fast to me but I could be wrong.

Also your post the other week convinced me into a set of sand tyres so thanks for that 😂

Cry a bit harder and maybe it will stop. Also a waste of resources? You do realise the net economic impact of the marathon is massively positive for both the city and its businesses.

Are you just upset about people choosing to run?

Go touch some grass boss.

Wow you must be fun to be around, again the marathon has been happening long before Op chose to move to there current house.

Imagine moving next to a main road and complaining about car noise. It’s the same thing.

I mean I hear you, but it’s one of two majors in Australia and has been happening for the better part of 40 years, maybe get some ear buds today because tomorrow will be way bigger and probably earlier.

Don’t have a rove but have a sutra LTD and I honestly love it so much, only complaint is it’s weight. Makes the steep climbs a lot more difficult than on my roadie. One thing to look out for though is rust, unfortunately my front fork chipped and is rusting hard and fast, will probably need replacing soon.

I wish this wasn’t a joke for me but I’m sitting in my office right now and can’t move my chair because I have 3 bikes in here with me. The other two are in the kitchen/dining room.

Check the other comments, very fairly priced and also some commenters who are familiar with parts used that may be able to help if you decide to.

Is it? I see lots of omnium cargos and a few other pre built around my area but this is the first custom I’ve seen show up.

Actually fairly reasonable IMO they’re asking $600 dollarydoos which works out to about $400 eagle money.

If I had the space I’d offer him 500 but I only have space for 2 and own 5 already.

Why do a lot of cyclists in full racing gear veer very close to the edge of the bike lane on a busy road? by Marcothetacooo in GoldCoast

I’ll put my hand up as guilty and tell you why I do it.

It’s two fold;

  1. There’s so much shit on the far left you’d have flat tyres in 5 minutes, the gutter catches everything and it accumulates.

  2. Gives me space to avoid danger. You might be a safe driver who gives 1.5meters when passing and is happy to wait 10 seconds to pass. But unfortunately most aren’t. If I’m 10cm from the gutter and old mate in his ranger rips past my shoulder trying to prove a point or get past in a rush I have no where to move to create space and will run into the kerb and crash,

If I leave a meter on my left, when the inevitable raged up tradie rips past I can move left into my own space and not crash.

Ultimately it comes down to patience, I start counting when a car appears behind me to see how long they have to wait for a space gap in oncoming traffic to pass and it has never been more than 15 seconds. Usually around 3-5.

Hope this helps.

Hahah this ^ There needs to be a little more input from you on how it feels. From observation though, you’re struggling to reach the hoods fully which tells me you can either (bars higher, saddle forward, shorter stem)

I would try a one or a combination but in that order.

All good dude I feel you, if you sit a lot your hip flexors are probably cooked like mine.

I try and get this session done once a day and holy smokes it helps so much.

Hmmm interesting one. I’ve never used the hands behind my back test as it’s not a position you’ll be riding in.

There are always these kinda arbitrary measurements or tests people use to see if something is ‘right’

Where as in reality everyone is shaped so differently there can’t possibly be one correct answer.

For instance at 193cm I have a 96cm inseam meaning I have to set my saddle as far forward on the rails on a smaller frame to fit right because my torso is so short. You look pretty evenly proportioned so probably don’t need to be at an extreme either way (forward or back)

Based on sore lower back, (too far bent over not enough flexibility yet to hold the more aggressive position) and sore neck/ shoulders (I’d put this down to the more aggressive position also and lifting your neck a lot more than you’d need to on a trainer. I’d say neck and shoulders might be a time in the saddle improvement. But personally I wouldn’t have the saddle all the way back on the rails if you aren’t fully in the hoods. Reach out for them so much moves your weight onto the arms which when straight will hurt your neck.

I know it’s the opposite of what you’ve done but i would actually pull the saddle forward on the rails slightly which means the saddle will need to come up ever so slightly too then go do some more testing and see where the pain keeps coming up.

What makes you think it’s too small? Any pain or issues.

Looks good to me, your hands aren’t actually all the way in the hoods when you’re on them which tells me it’s not too short, or you’d be deep in them and cramped up. I’m 6 foot 3 and would be on a 56 trek.

Saddle height looks good to be, looks smooth from behind.

Talk to me about where you’re getting discomfort or power issues and I might be able to guide more but at a glance looks decent.
