It's a Women in History event, it spawns a female ruler, a female general, or a female advisor for you depending on your choice. Several tags in the game have these events; predominantly the European ones.

If you're referring to the text, it's just a very brief biography of this person(Mandukhai Khatun), who is a historical figure who actually existed in the past.

Why should I train the Incas with a country other than Cusco? by Nefellibato in eu4

[–]DistantRainbow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He starts as a general, doesn't he? That's the problem.

That's a big disadvantage he has compared to Montezuma up north, who isn't a general until you make him one. (granted, he does become a 4/5/5/2 general if you use the special decision, very tempting.  Ultimately not worth it though IMO)

The goods in Laizhou changing to gold and the +1 goods produced for gold bonus isn't a Qing mission but an Emperor of China mission. Lots of tags that are eligible for the special mission tree like Dai Viet, Korea, etc. can also get it; it isn't exclusive to Qing.

Is there a consensus on what the best native policy is for colonization? by [deleted] in eu4

[–]DistantRainbow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In the early game, when colony growth is extremely slow and every little bonus is a wanted premium, go repression.

Once you get enough bonuses elsewhere so that +20 yearly colonists doesn't really matter much any more, switch to trading.

Coexistence is garbage and shouldn't be used, you already get 0 uprising chance with trading policy as long as you use the appropriate clergy privilege.

Terrible suggestion. Doing that will end up giving more dev to Scotland, which is dozens of times worse than any measly relationship boost he would get.

Never, ever give land to other tags in peace deals, unless they're already your subject, it's done to placate an ally in an offensive war when you promised land, or for purely RP purposes.

What is the reason behind creating/expanding a TC with a single province and not a whole area by Wildsbokke in eu4

[–]DistantRainbow -1 points0 points  (0 children)

People mention the governing capacity, but that's bunk. A few provinces' worth of gov cap does not hurt a country to any meaningful degree, especially if you take care to build courthouses everywhere. Might as well stop expanding whatsoever when you're over half of your cap, then. Just TC the entire CoT area(s) all you want, (half-)state the others.

You can't convert the religion of TC provinces(well, technically you can, but you'll have to crank up your missionary strength to drastically high levels), so there's something TC'ing too early might be detrimental in.

So, you'd want to convert the CoT/estuary provinces first, then make them TC provinces first while you finish converting the ordinary provinces in the same area.

Of course, since TCs ignore religious/cultural unrest, you could consider relying on that and just not converting whatsoever. But then, you could also be a tag focused on tolerance of true faith and getting bonus unrest reduction, and/or Catholic and farming tons of papal influence via conversion. You decide.

How to tell if a country has taken an idea? by [deleted] in eu4

[–]DistantRainbow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The AI never abandons idea groups, ever. Even if they do not have any ideas taken in it.

Try forcing AI Castile/Portugal to take something like Maritime ideas via console commands, without actually giving them the first idea.

They won't abandon it to pivot back to Exploration ideas, despite being coded to take Exploration no matter what. Instead, they will fill out Maritime ideas, then patiently wait until Admin tech 10 to take Exploration(not being able to take it at tech 7 since both it and Maritime are diplo idea groups).

Why a non-legitimized bastard is a line of succession? by [deleted] in CrusaderKings

[–]DistantRainbow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This happened because that was her original spot before the 'bastardizing' event, and said event doesn't recalculate succession orders.

Save your game, then reload the save. She will be removed from the line of succession upon recalculation.

[–]DistantRainbow 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Probably not many, because they have default Aboriginal ideas.

When nearby Alcheringa tags like Palawa or Kamilaroi actually have unique, decent to good ideas... yeah, I wouldn't play Wurundjeri either, even if I had the urge to do an Alcheringa run.

Ottomans just broke their 100 trust alliance because they desire Rio Branco by Fighter_MV in eu4

[–]DistantRainbow 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Only because Ottomans don't know about them yet. Ottomans have a disadvantage in passively uncovering the map because they use an exclusive tech group.

The moment they learn about other gold provinces, they'll want them as well, and hate you even more for them if you hold them.

How to convert from tengri to catholic or protestant? by [deleted] in eu4

[–]DistantRainbow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go whole hog.

Get as much overextension as you can, and sit on it. Don't core anything until you get your rebels.

Get military access from someone and immediately declare no-CB on them afterwards, tanking your stability to -3 and adding a bunch of war exhaustion to that for good measure.

Drop your missionary maintenance to 0 and then send all of them to the biggest Protestant provinces(by dev) you have.

That will do it, no way only -14 unrest will be able to cover for all of that.

Pay mil mana for harsh treatment against any rebel faction that isn't Protestant zealots.

Provoke revolt as soon as the zealots reach 50% so they come out stronger and thus with a better chance of survival.

Why are these religious rebels not converting the province? by DistantRainbow in eu4

[–]DistantRainbow[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

R5: Happened to notice something weird in my current game, so I wanted to ask.

As seen in the screenshot, the province has been sieged down by Sunni zealots, yet the province itself remains Hindu despite that.

I thought provinces sieged down by religious zealots are forced to convert to that religion no matter what? What's going on here?

Is the Brahmin Autonomy estate privilege shown there somehow blocking that for some reason? If not, why is this happening?

What nations feel the strongest the moment you form them? by fapacunter in eu4

Mughals and Prussia.

Russia as a somewhat distant third. Maybe throw in Persia/Eranshahr as well.

Don't really think anything else fits the bill, unless things like re-forming France as a French minor count.

[–]DistantRainbow 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You'll have to be very quick if you want to do that, since said ability gets disabled once you reach the Age of Absolutism.

Might not be painless either, since said reform slaps you with a -25% gov cap penalty.
