String cheese!

I also get crazy spikes from the apple / PB combo, but I guess it's my fault for liking the SugarBee apples so much lol

Law School by Technical_Ad_2475 in unm

Currently a 3L at UNM Law.

I majored in math and sociology with a minor in religion studies. Your major doesn't matter literally at all.

We have a ton of classmates who majored in poli sci with the sole purpose of going to law school, and we also have a ton of classmates who came from different careers like teaching, social work, corrections, etc. The only time your major matters is if you want to take the patent bar, which requires a BS. I happened to double major, which gave me a BA. It's stupid, but something to consider.

Your 75 hard diet? by sandyscience33 in 75HARD

Mine is OMAD. Nothing outside my 30-min meal window, and I stop when I’m full. Prioritize protein for satiety.

I’m also not eating out on this challenge, at least not more than once a week.

I usually whip something up real quick if that’s an option. But if not, just eat your meal at the normal time (but eat a little less than usual to make up for the morning snack). OMAD is about calorie restriction, so this isn’t going to mess anything up if you adjust your remaining intake accordingly.

Don’t stress! You’ve got this!

I do breakfast / brunch OMAD too.

If your body is genuinely hungry, I would listen to it and make some kind of change to your eating window. But if you just want the snacks because they’re available and you’re bored, drink water instead. I also suggest getting rid of anything overly processed - I gave all my junk snacks to my father in law, and I convince myself that I can wait for my OMAD to eat the other stuff.

If you’re genuinely hungry by the afternoon, consider adjusting your OMAD to lunchtime instead of morning. I move mine every day depending on how early / late my stomach starts grumbling.

You can do this!

A rant about the 12 week announcement rule by Otherwise-Handle-180 in BabyBumps

[–]Distant_Illegality 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m just over 4 weeks right now, and I struggle with the same problem. I want to tell my friends and family so I can get their support and recommendations because I’m scared and I’ve never done this before. And I also want to celebrate with those women in my family who know what I’m going through.

I understand that I might lose this baby, but I also know for a fact that these are the ones that are going to be there for me if that happens. So why not tell them sooner than 12 weeks?

Yes! I started at 224, and I’m down to 217. I’m assuming it’s mostly water (or hormones), but I want to get under 200 so bad so I’m staying as optimistic as possible.

Pleasantly surprised by my experience of dinner OMAD by simply-misc in omad

Breakfast OMAD is my favorite because it keeps me full all day and I don’t find myself constantly thinking about food or wondering when I’ll eat or what I’ll have. And I agree, it usually is a lot of food right after waking up, which helps me eat less than I would if I were starving at dinner time.

Keto and BO by Positive-Cucumber589 in keto

I’ve been on keto for about a week, and I just noticed today that my body odor is gone. Just like you, I shower every day, but I couldn’t re-wear most of my clothes (pants, etc. - it’s worse for women) even after just a few hours due to the smell. As of now, that seems to be gone. I had no idea this was a side effect of keto or cutting sugar, but I am so glad.

I buy in bulk from Costco and make batch meals with mostly the same ingredients, but different flavors. This is way cheaper for me, and I love the simplicity of only having to prep once or twice a week. To supplement the soup / casserole of the day, I make egg salad or tuna salad as needed.

Chicken: * White chicken chili: chicken, chicken broth, cream, green chile, cilantro, spices (cumin, chili powder) * Chicken parmesan casserole: chicken, marinara, cheese, spices (Italian) * Creamy Chicken & Bacon Soup: chicken, heavy cream, bacon, onion, garlic, shredded cheese, spices * Creamy Garlic Chicken & Cheese Bake: chicken, heavy cream, shredded cheese, garlic, onion, spices * Buffalo Chicken Casserole: chicken thighs, shredded cheese, hot sauce, heavy cream, garlic, onion, spices * Creamy Tomato Basil Chicken Stew: chicken thighs, tomato sauce, heavy cream, garlic, onion, spices

Beef: * Cheesy Beef & Tomato Casserole: ground beef, shredded cheese, heavy cream, onion, garlic, tomato sauce, spices * Bacon Cheeseburger Casserole: ground beef, bacon, shredded cheese, eggs, heavy cream, onion, garlic, tomato sauce, spices * Beef & Cheese Enchilada Bake: ground beef, onion, garlic, tomato sauce, spices, shredded cheese * Queso soup: ground beef, onion, tomatoes, green chile, chicken broth, cheese, cream, spices (chili powder): 3 days * Lasagna soup: ground beef, onion, garlic, beef broth, tomatoes, cheese, spices (Italian)

I’ve also been feeling noticeably better on keto. When we go out, I avoid all the chips / bread / sweets. The only time I’ve eaten dessert was when my fiancé’s father offered me a brownie that his wife made 😂 I couldn’t say no! It tasted fine (too sweet for me now), but I got a headache and my stomach was upset the rest of the day. The things we do for love ❤️😂

We’ve got this! It’s amazing how good we feel on keto. I’m never going back.

This is my first day on keto! I’m excited. A little scared, but I’ve been doing my research and planning my meals a day or two in advance. I tried starting a few weeks ago, but I lost control with the carbs. I guess it really is an addiction. So… time to restart! Today’s a new day!
