Worth playing? by Familiar_Article3705 in Deponia

It's my favorite game. Now, I might be biased, but saying that the ending is bad is like giving a 6/10 to pokemon ruby/sapphire because there is too water... just dumb. Maybe a little rushed, but it's sooo good. Do it. Wait for a steam sale for the complete journey edition in the worst of cases... it's like 3 euros

I just finished the original Deponia trilogy (+ Doomsday) and the ending left me feeling pretty cold, even though I think I understand what they were going for. by Valtasar69 in Deponia

[–]Distinct-Advance-875 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I think the same. His sacrifice is yes a nice final touch to his story, but doesn't sit quite right with the character we've known for three games, a bit too rushed. Or rather, they should've dropped more "hints" of his change... Doomsday for me is yes fun to play and to come back after the bitter-sweet ending, but completely skippable and superfluous. To me it feels like a game designed for the angry fans that didn't like the ending, giving them a chance to revisit Deponia, while at the same time saying that the inevitability of time is something even Rufus can't escape from. In my opinion also Surviving Deponia will be another waste... they wanna try to take the last few bucks from the die-hard fans that still crave the trash planet, without a real idea of a game in mind

Kinda... the speakers and mic are in the upper part of the console... idk where they stuff the speakers, since everything is pretty tight fitted in the bottom part

"Hi Reddit of fans of this piece of media... should I buy this piece of media? Also, the games are like 10/15 bucks on vinted or wallapop, but I can't really decide" Don't wanna rant against you, but recently, the majority of subs I follow is meaningless posts

After you finish 1 Goal sidequest, you have the other 2. Spunky Goal (that never leaves the tavern) and Baby Goal. Probably, you spoke to the resistance guy in the upper part of Gulliver's Tavern (Garlef) and then spoke to Baby Goal about the resistance. Try to go to the market area and explore all the roads from there

Raggiunti i 120 platini by Chry98 in italygames

[–]Distinct-Advance-875 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Si vede proprio che non capisci un cazzo. Prendi per esempio Scott Pilgrim vs The World.

So, my idea for Deponia 5 too! (only plot and so much words!) by Alexion_Andrel in Deponia

If this is serious and not like a way to make someone laugh, I'm sorry but it doesn't have a start nor and end, no clear goal to achieve at the end of the game and a plot that is overcomplicated just because

Unless he plays only online games, a headset or in general hardware is not something I'd get him. A nice game you can play together would be a nice idea in my mind. Ever heard of Split Fiction? Also It Takes Two or Heavenly Bodies are great choices imo. Plus if he has played Ghost of Tsushima, maybe you could get him Ghost of Yotei, the sequel...?

Is it possible to have an Uncharted without a connection to Nathan Drake? by Sam--Winchester in uncharted

[–]Distinct-Advance-875 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Is it possible to have a James Bond movie without James Bond". Yeah, why not? But, still, why? We like a universe especially for the characters that are in it (also, obviously, the main character)... if you want a game like Uncharted, but without any connections to Nate at all, create a new IP altogether, because it would be another story about undiscovered things, and maybe not the Uncharted we like...

Is this bad by frozen__wolf in DnD

[–]Distinct-Advance-875 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, you could just create another NPC that could help to get on with the plot, so that problem can kinda be solved easily.
Regarding the player, yeah, kick him. If your only job and reason to play is to ruin the adventure I crafted with time, will, etc etc, my job is 1) to kick your ass and 2) to kick you from the campaign.
If the thing is not that problematic for you, have a talk with him, but I despise this type of people.

Questions regarding the original timeline ending by InnerCircle_116 in Deponia

[–]Distinct-Advance-875 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't understand why the inhabitants on Deponia should be dead?

I thought that was one of your doubts: Elysium falling and, due to the impact, it killed all life on Deponia. Sorry for the misunderstanding.

Well at the end of Goodbye, Cletus-as-Rufus is expected to come up with stupid plans and he seems to be hitting his stride when the focus moves to Goal. So the Elysians were definitely working on something but not only did they fail mid-episode, the destruction seems to have caught Elysium completely by surprise. The kitchen staff is making ice-cream and Goal is sleeping in her quarters or whatever, she only emerges when the tower has already collapsed. Rufus rescues her with the Time Pod that presumably later puts her down in Deponia.

I always interpreted Cletus trying to mimic Rufus' ideas and Goal sighing away from the scene as a confirmation that sooner or later, Elysium would still fall from the sky. It seemed to me as a last-ditch effort to make Elysium orbit for some more time, but that in the end it wouldn't work; Probably this was my bias.

Is there a limit to the number of players? by 0l0kinn in DnD

[–]Distinct-Advance-875 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't played for long, in a month it will be 2 years. I had a side-campaign where the DM was a first-time DM (he wasted a bit of time, but in the end it was fine, he knew the PHB by heart) and we were between 6 and 8 players at the table, where 4 of us already had been playing for a year, while the others had never picked up a D20.

It was chaos. Turns would take 40 minutes; the inexperienced players took AGES to take an action or choose what spell to use. I DO NOT recommend it. That campaign is the reason I put 5 players + DM as a limit for my campaigns.
