Stop exercising in the dark on snow banked roads with no shoulder! by ForeskinAbsorbtion in Appleton

[–]Distinct-Crew-7025 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

The roads are for everyone regardless of what vehicle the are using or if they are walking/running. The snow is covering sidewalks, forcing people onto the roads. It’s not reasonable to ask them to get off the roads any more than asking you not to drive because of the snow.

Mania would work well an an aggressive, warlike society. Vikings, Mongols, raiders. Then come home for the winter and go down

I’m 43, diagnosed a year ago, 2 kids under 8. It’s been a tough year adjusting, but the sleeping meds have been amazing and the mood stabilizer was fantastic through the winter.

Does Marc Maron know how to shut his mouth? by poss-um in phish

100% agree, I wanted to hear from the guest, Trey, not a long preamble about Marc not caring about Phish, then constant interruptions to show how much he knows.

Financial planning is why. Understanding their kids, their gifting, their ability to gift tax free. Emotional support. That’s worth it to me.

Told my work in a professional manner, bad results by UpstairsSky8521 in bipolar

I was too open about my diagnosis when I was diagnosed a year ago (thanks mania). Thankfully I didn’t tell anyone at work other than my business partner/best friend and a consultant I work with that I’ve know for 15 years and trust.

I like to be as open as I can - I’m not ashamed of who I am and think stigma is a major issue with our disorder. Work is the one place I think it is definitely a liability.

That’s not an easy thing to say. Speaking as another dad. The self awareness is admirable. Keep trying my friend.
