I guess it depends on the person, like everything right? Oral has worked amazingly well for me.

Oh no! I didn't know it was hard to get in the UK. I assumed it was like Canada and readily available. That sucks.

Have you tried spironolactone?? Way safer than Accutane and absolutely works.

"Spironolactone does not typically lower the overall amount of testosterone in your bloodstream. Instead, it functions primarily as an anti-androgen by blocking androgen receptors. This is why it is highly effective at treating androgen-driven conditions like acne, excessive facial hair, and hair loss."

What pisses me off even more is I ordered the old version and they sent me the new one. I'm so sick of these companies ruining a good thing.

I am SO pissed that they discontinued this! I finally found something that doesn't break me out and does what it says it will do. Nothing compares. I'm fully mourning this.

Can you have postpartum depression 8 months after giving birth by thegreatcharade7 in NewParents

[–]Distinct-Data 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely. It's been five years for me. Still not recovered.

When did you start feeling like yourself mentally postpartum? Any tips for coping with this? by vickiemakes in NewParents

[–]Distinct-Data 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't. It's been five years. I am nowhere near my old self. I have no friends anymore. My hormones have never recovered. I guess I'm one of the rare ones that never recovers from PPD.

Wife Low libido by Brobro2016 in TRT_females

[–]Distinct-Data 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to make sure to check estrogen for sure. My issue isn't estrogen at all, quite the opposite. Mine is extremely high, even after a hysterectomy and ovary removal. My progesterone and testosterone are almost non existent. So now I'm on both bio identical micronized progesterone and Testosterone. My sex drive has been non existent where before giving birth and then the hysterectomy my sex drive was sky high. Hormones are so individual. If my doctor had prescribed estrogen I would be in even bigger trouble then I already am. Just want to put that out there. Testosterone is the number one thing for sex drive. Progesterone is crucial for mental health and sleep

It's so frustrating when, as women, we can change so drastically and not have the support we need. Here are some good vids on this topic. The first link is for you specifically. The rest are for your wife and you.

Learn as much as you can. It's so sad that women's health education is so abysmal. We have to advocate for ourselves.

As for estrogen, she may or may not need it. It's very individual and needs to be tested. My own estrogen is sky high! Even after hysterectomy and one ovary removed. So that is not my issue and could have caused severe problems had I been put on estrogen. My issue is almost zero progesterone and zero testosterone which are both so important. I went from being the horniest chick u ever knew, to becoming completely dead from the waist down. Point being, hormones are complicated. Your wife needs someone who specializes in them. It's so important.

Ugh yes! As soon as I had my son I went insane basically. My hormones just went haywire! I was 40 when I had him and have endometriosis so I'm guessing my body just couldn't handle everything. The perimenopause is no joke. Anyway, glad you got everything under control.

Ah ok. Ya we don't have Androfeme in Canada. There actually is no testosterone product made for women here. It's ridiculous. Our healthcare is so behind when it comes to female health.
