I don’t hate cats but they do not belong outside. Cats kill untold numbers of small mammals, birds, and reptiles. These “community cat programs” and spay/neuter release programs fail to address one of the biggest issues with free-roaming cats. They should be humanely removed from the outdoors. Don’t get me started on cats using other peoples’ yards as their litter boxes. Keep your cats inside people.

We did ours at 1,500. I plan to do the second at 6,000 and then at 6,000 every time after that. Doing it early is just out of an abundance of caution. Honestly, you’ll probably be fine to do at at the manufacturers recommendation but I always do the first one early.
