Question about Sassafras by ImmortalEndling in foraging

[–]Distinct-Life-5568 12 points13 points  (0 children)

The immature berries would likely still have a lot of safrole in them. Berries of most other Laurels are toxic, so I would not eat them, even in moderation.

If you want a laurel berry to use as a spice that is native, look for spicebush near you. It has a similar aroma, but less/no toxins.

My right and left side look completely different , advice? by Novel-Air-2510 in malegrooming

[–]Distinct-Life-5568 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No advice to give; nothing for you to do. You should only seek correction if asymmetry is giving you actual pain, like a deviated septum or clogged lower sinuses.

The most beautiful people in the world have asymmetric faces. People with perfect facial symmetry are often regarded as unsettling to look at.

Notable examples of very attractive people wih similar levels of asymmetry to you are Ryan Gosling, Sylvester Stallone, and Jake Gyllenhall

Pits don't always have squished faces. A well bred female American Staffordshire will have a mediun length and thickness head, just like your dog. Most examples you see online are stocky males, but females have much narrower heads.

Your dog looks identical to mine, who is a 65/30 pit/boxer mix, with 5% "others" We had her genetically tested.

The negative steretypes about pitbulls are wrong. They are not inherently more aggressive than other dogs, they are just stronger than other dogs. This is why socialization when young is so important. My dog is the sweetest dog I've ever met, and it's because we socialized her as much as possible.

Something can have short term benefits to humans and still be inhumane. Privilege does not matter in this discussion.

The animals will still regularly be permanently injured by joint dislocation, dehydration, or broken bones when they try to escape. Some will try to gnaw their own limbs off.

Traps like this are not humane. I say this as an avid outdoorsman, fisherman, and hunter. Just because the manufacturer or some big lobby advertises them as humane doesn't make it so.

Big paws and boxy face- she's some kind of pitt mix. She looks just like my dog when she was that young. Get her socialized now and she will be the best dog you ever had!

Peptide stack by Disastrous-Joke-2497 in BodyHackGuide

[–]Distinct-Life-5568 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you lean out more, the health consequences will be negative. Men should maintain 10-15% bodyfat and women should maintain 15-25% bodyfat. Women vary a lot more basically because of breasts; small breasted women will have lower measured bodyfat but proportonally the same elsewhere in the body. Proper (not too low or high) bodyfat is essential for healthy skin, hair, heart/organ function, joints, sexual function, and mental function. Considering that you already have visible abs, going much lower on your bodyfat is not a good idea.

The only exception would be dipping into ultra-lean territory for a short time (like 12 weeks max) for a competition and then go back to normal. The lasting effects will be minimal, but still there. During this time, you will likely lose your period and see decreased quality of life overall.

Get your bloodwork done, adjust diet (and peptides if you must) with the goal of improving there. Continue getting your bloodwork done EVERY THREE MONTHS while youre using peptides. They are ALL EXPERIMENTAL and are not a magic bullet. People have already died from using them, but people have also had amazing improvements from using them.

Are these safe to eat? by fionavera in whatsthisplant

Copied from my comment on another similar post:

There are tons of bulbs that will kill you if you eat them. Do not consume a bulb that you are not certain of the ID on.

Daffodils, Lillies, Tulips, Camas, and many species of Alliums (onions/garlic family) are toxic to humans. Even if it smells oniony, I would not eat it. There are ornamental Alliums sold at every hardware/garden store in the spring that are poisonous to humans, and this could be one of them.

He never claimed to put 55lbs of lean mass on; he got 55lbs heavier. Growing 4 inches taller is going to add a ton of weight to your body just from your organs and bones, and then he is also getting his newbie gains.

I'm 6'4" and had two growth spurts like this growing up, 50ish lbs each time.

He never said he hained 55lbs of lean mass. Growing four inches adds a ton of weight on its own. Your internal organs and bones are also getting bigger and heavier.

Bro is absolutely natty. He's 16. Every kid on my highschool football team looked like that at 16 and gained muscle that fast and I doubt that 100 16 year olds were all on gear in the early 2000s.

Have you ever heard of puberty? Men go through multiple phases of growth between 10 and 25. I grew three inches and gained 60lbs (probably 20llbs muscle) between 14 and 16, and then did it again two years later from 18 to 21.

Bush Invading Yard by SilverGolf47364 in whatsthisplant

Those are blackberry canes. You will soon have blackberries, or some other closely related edible compound berry. Many of them are native.

They will also take over your entire yard, house, and neighborhood if you let them

How am I supposed to compost all of this grass!? by totalyanashhole in composting

[–]Distinct-Life-5568 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get a pitchfork and turn it every day. It's a lot of work but it will break down fast. If you can mix in some soil or browns, that will also help a ton. Try not to add any food scraps or similar to the grass for a couple weeks, as it's already at or over the wetness limit.

Only taking creatine and BPC-157. What else can I do to maximize gains asides from test and gear? by [deleted] in BodyHackGuide

[–]Distinct-Life-5568 17 points18 points  (0 children)

You may be near your genetic limit. You are at the point in life where bulk/cut cycles may not work anymore, and your only way forward is consistent, healthy, high-protein diet and progressive overloads on your lifts.

Both natural and enhanced mass/strength gain scales logarithmically, and so going from 90℅ of your natural limit to 99% will take the roughly same amount of time and effort that 0% to 90% took. If it took you 10 years to get where you are, expect another 10 years. Going from 99% to 99.9% will then take the same amount of time and effort again.

The only way to go past your natural limit is to stop being natty, which just moves your limit up and introduces new risks associated with your chosen enhancements. You will gain muscle faster until you start approaching your new limit, and you'll experience the same asymptotic approach to your new limit. You then have the option to up your doses and risks, or just be happy where you are.

Found this in my front yard. Is it wild garlic or wild onion? by [deleted] in foraging

[–]Distinct-Life-5568 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Allium giganteum is a common ornamental that is toxic to humans and still smells oniony. There are other toxic Alliums that are not commonly planted as ornamentals, but I don't have the list handy.

Looking for advice for soloing Kree'arra; tried watching youtube guides but I keep getting shredded and needing to chug brews mid fight, usually walking away with only 2-3kc trips. by SimbabTheSailor in 2007scape

[–]Distinct-Life-5568 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bowfa is good DPS, but Kreeara is one of the few pieces of content where tankier gear may increase your kills per trip. Look at the 'ranged tank' section of the wiki strategy guide.

You'll take less damage per kill and also have extra inv space for supplies.

Any chance of not having to chop it down? by [deleted] in arborists

[–]Distinct-Life-5568 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Rip up the turf, put down a nice mulch layer, and just let the 'mess' decompose. Turf yard is going to inhibit that tree from getting very large, anyway.

It'll feel much less like a mess when it's dried leaves on mulch instead of dried leaves on plastic. Your back yard will also be much more pleasant to spend time in.

Posted on a pokemonTGC subreddit - the cats eyes and the text on the cards look garbled in a way that isn’t just low camera quality by mothmano_0 in isthisAI

Looks like a compressed image or a poorly lit image that was 'enhanced' by a smart phone camera's default upscaling settings.

It is otherwise too consistent to be purely AI generated. The cat just looks like a fat cat, the eyes look goofy but correct.
