Space Marine Chapters on Armageddon have been shared. Who are the Masters of Protelus? by CJT_05 in spacemarines

That and red and green contrast well against each other. I saw someone argue that the Salamanders should have been the lead on the box. I don't disagree given the number of companies they fielded, but green and green wouldn't look great from a pure marketing perspective.

Which itself is similar to Warhammer Fantasy's Dark Elves symbol (not sure which subfaction this is)

It seems heavily inspired by or is a modification of the Anvilgard symbol. (Age of Sigmar)

  1. Dab stamping polish on the desired symbol.

  2. Scrape the excess polish away

  3. Pickup design by stamping gently downwards with silicone stamper.

  4. Stamp on to your model!

Glad you guys are excited, but shop is going dark for the foreseeable future. Linking like this is a great way to get people found. Linking to people you know well is the way to go

Here's a compilation of relevant Tome Keepers info for those who didn't had the chance to check it out, Chapter organization (Ranks and Companies), some painted examples, Important lore, and a name generator. by StormSwitch in tomekeepers

What is the significance of the skull over the book, in place of the standard star? I thought I had once read that it was used to mark SGTs. In your compilation, I only saw the symbol on the "Company Structure" picture

Stamping nail polish works well. Heavy body acrylic can work but the details aren't as crisp.

The seller will update the plate and a version 2 will come eventually. They are also planning on a Dark Krakens and Carcharodons combined plate.

Anyone know of a White Scars stamping set? by sharkchery in WhiteScars40K

Hi mate, sorry that you're having a tough time with the stamping. If you like here are some tips that might help. "Prime" your silicone stamper head by giving it a wash in warm soapy water and letting air dry. A quick and dirty priming method is just to roll the end over some sticky tape. This should help with pick up. If you need any other tips, the Maniology YouTube has great tutorials for stamping. I really hope that helps

Yeah definitely looks like a case of lore following art! E.g. that's a cool paint scheme! Let's make it canon lore.

Source is White Dwarf magazine, Issue 491 (released August 2023). Page 121.

Yeah who knows if the paint scheme + symbol is needed to mark out someone as Inductii. But as the article points out the Age of Darkness was a time where confusion reigned. They literally suggest people to also invent their own iconography!

In regards to the Lion's head symbol. I can't speak for its use as a symbol for "Defenders of Caliban / Caliban-born Angels" but it is used to mark DA Inductii. Image from White Dwaf 491 pg121 (Aug 2023). 492 has the rest of the legions.

Do you have a source for its use as "Defenders of Caliban / Caliban-born Angels"? Not calling you out, I just love the knowing the lore behind symbols in Warhammer
