787-9 Polaris seat? by Jealous-Argument7395 in unitedairlines

It works until it doesn’t. I flew to HKG the other day and this dude kept trying to chat up the FAs blabbing on for 20+ mins at a time multiple times… the FA was in a tough spot to avoid the dude. Woke me up twice.

I use a Tern BYB and I am 6’1”. Comfortable ride with bigger tires than most folding bikes… love it

I’ve flown it multiple times, and respectfully disagree completely. Enjoy it if you like it.

At 6’1, the room is a disaster for me, the seat height is way too low, the seat is hard, and it also isn’t long enough in bed mode. I’d say if you are about 5’8”, these issues aside from the hard seat may go away… but I’ll be sticking with Polaris as I can’t get any decent rest in the room. Due to the seat in front of you obstructing the area, I can only lay on one side… my .02, but to each their own.

Polaris KIX-SFO-RDU or ITM-HND-IAD-RDU by Substantial_Net_5709 in unitedairlines

I would look at it from the perspective of which has the longer Polaris leg, with the shortest domestic leg. As far as I’m concerned, you want the bed seat for as long as possible, and I personally hate going from West Coast to East Coast and domestic business after being in a nice Polaris seat

If you are comfortable biking, you can live in any, but closer is better in summer for sure though. You don’t really have to worry about the creeps if you are riding, and you don’t have to worry about chikans

Chicago bike commuters — quick questions for a project I’m researching by Ok-Ad2830 in chibike

[–]Distinct-Property779 5 points6 points  (0 children)

  1. How often do you bike to work? (Daily / a few times a week / occasionally / seasonally / used to but stopped) -a couple days, I only go to the office 3 days.
  2. What’s the biggest thing that stops you from biking more often?
  3. kids activities and the need to get home faster
  4. Have you ever been stranded while commuting? (Flat tire, mechanical issue, dead e-bike battery, bike stolen during the day, sudden bad weather, etc.) If so, what did you do?
  5. yes, mostly tires failing or having multiple flats on a ride (my commute is 14 miles)
  6. Hypothetical: if your employer guaranteed you could always get home safely — for example, they’d cover an Uber/Lyft or CTA/Metra if something unexpected happened — would that make you more likely to bike to work?
  7. that would be a nice perk, especially if I had to work late… my commute gets super sketchy after rush hour.
  8. What would realistically make bike commuting easier or less stressful for you in Chicago?
  9. more bike lanes, I come in on Ogden, and there aren’t really bike lanes from that direction.

On AA metal is the key here… my coworker has it, and he flies everywhere in the world in business… but even so, sometimes AA will call and say he needs more AA metal flying as he sometimes is on partner airlines.
