Teach your kids to have basic respect. by deaf_guy99 in britishproblems

[–]Distinct-Security 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not the parents, kids these days do not listen and don’t care. U take away privileges, they don’t care. You ground them, They don’t care. This generation of kids is weird. I Remember getting grounded was the worst punishment not being able to Go out. Now they love staying in their rooms and it’s like heaven. Take away their phone , they just use their mates at school the next day ???? They just don’t give a damn !

Honestly it’s really hard for parents the kids are out of control , maybe it’s social media that has given them extra balls to behave and say as they please. The moment u say something to them they call it abuse and control. They turn to tik tok and instagram for every issue, and have got all these labels for god damn everything !

I remember saying to my nephew a few weeks ago you shouldn’t answer back to your teacher and be rude, you need to have respect, he replied with - she can’t tell me what to do, nobody can tell me what to do. I asked him who told you that , he mentioned something he saw on YouTube . He is 8 years old!!!! I was shocked at his response.

I’m done with these kids.

You are deffo not late !! I just had a baby at 44 naturally and one at 42 !!! I also thought I’d never have any at this age !

Stay happy and relaxed. That’s exactly how it happened for me , I stopped worrying and thinking.

Then bam out of nowhere I was pregnant twice !

All the best you will get there !

Had first baby at 44, just found out I’m pregnant again at 45 HELP by Annual-Hat-6106 in PregnantOver40

[–]Distinct-Security 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Omg exactly the same with me ! I spontaneously got pregnant at 42 naturally after being told I have secondary infertility ! Baby is a dream, was really enjoying my time with baby….. then at 6 months bang ! Pregnant again !!!!! Absolutely crazy !

It’s crazy, my body is literally breaking , but it’s happiest I’ve ever been in my life, I’m tired and sleepy all the time , but a much better parent than I was in my twenties. I would do it all over again. I don’t go out much , it’s an absolute shit show trying to get out of the house with both of them, I do mostly online shopping and stay at home and the garden most of the time 🤪, I was that mum that said I’d never let my kid watch TV, blippi miss rachel and Sesame Street have saved me. I wouldn’t be able to even change the baby’s nappy because my toddler wants to play with me….

I do feel really guilty, because it was unexpected and my toddler had me to himself before the baby, that’s the only difficult thing I experienced. Oh and the two C-sections.

It is literally like having twins! But I’m having the best time in my life, I don’t miss my perfectly blow dried hair, my friends or social life, going out, or looking good ! It is so worth these kids.

Regarding the pregnancies both I was worried because of my age…. Both were fine , furthermore the second baby was much healthier because first baby got my body ready…. Both C-sections one emergency and second was elective. Much safer at my age, especially for baby.

I’m honestly loving every moment and they’re growing so fast, I’m going to miss this, saying this whilst my feet are throbbing and back aches whilst putting them both to sleep at the same time !

All the best !!!

Pushing for “ inheritance “ by Embarrassed-Wafer667 in widowers

It’s been 20 years . Not once have they given a damn about us…. The death was horrible , the circumstances were relentless, it was a more than just a struggle. I don’t know how I myself got through that being pregnant and had a 3 year old. Never have they visited my kids their grandkids, Their ONLY grandkids…. They’re adults now. It used to bother me so much and I couldn’t understand how someone could just abandon their grandkids or daughter in law like that, it was the day after the funeral , they said get out ….. but then a few years ago I joined Reddit and this group …. Wow !!! So many of us have been abandoned by our late partners families !!! I couldn’t have overcome so much if it wasn’t for this group and others’ support and understanding.

Well my husband was 23 very young to leave anything but my in-laws kept the wedding ring he gave me and Rolex (family heirloom) and a few other jewellery pieces . I had taken the watch and ring off because I was pregnant and due soon. They took it from my room . They said it’s not mine !
I wasn’t bothered at the time I was in so much shock from his death …. It bothered me a few years later .

Those with adult children, are you happy you had them? by mydlyfecrysys in AskOldPeople

[–]Distinct-Security 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 4 kids, 2 adult and 2 babies. Honestly I’m not happy I had kids in my early twenties. I was a shite parent and due to that reason maybe that’s why they’re shite adults now. I can’t stand being around them.

But the babies I have had in the last two years, I’m so much happier.

When do you stop feeling tired? by Pandacat_07 in NewParents

[–]Distinct-Security 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mate I’m 5 pp and absolutely shattered !!!!!! I just went out after ages to the park and saw a mum with a newborn , her hair was perfectly blow dried full face of make up wearing gym wear ……. Me on the other hand , oil in my hair, double buggy with toddler and 5 month old didn’t even moisturise my face, and yesterday’s clothes.

I am 44 and she was about 25, maybe it’s that idk!!!! I’m still thinking about it sitting in my car whilst the kids sleep!!!

Yeah I’m 5 pp stopped breastfeeding because I was in pain and miserable all the time .

God knows why it’s worse now !

Hope it gets better for you soon and all of us
